Every birth I have seen from jackson's has never occured on the ground. In the wild (per a study done in Hawaii) they give birth in the trees. As lisa said, the sac's land on a branch/leaf and immediately open. Being on the ground would make a hatchling easy prey.

I got a similar idiotic response from the guy: "but they do have laying actives and dun quite give live birth but lay sacs ones that if no set point is available they tend to to by set down anywhere -also if they are bothered..."
