Gizmo goes out when the thermometer in his trees hits the low 70's (this is the morning reading). On the other side of the coin, I also watch for temperatures becoming too high. In the summer that usually happens anywhere from noon to one.

I think you did the right thing withholding this information. Not everyone (myself included) is that experienced. The problem comes when they don't (or won't) realize the limits of that experience.
Great shots. Especially the money shots. However I've got to say that pic number 4 where they are entwined with each other is really nice. Guess that's just the romantic female in me. ;)

Without any more information, I'd say there is a heating issue. However, mouth gaping could be caused by more serious conditions. If you fill this out, I'm sure the on of our experienced keepers will chime in to help.
