It depends on how much food, heat and supplement you gave her. Veiled chameleon can be bred as young as 4-6 months old (not recommended). I would say it is safer to get her into breeding when she is more than 12 months old. Having said that, you can start worrying about the egg laying sandbox...

This is not a foolish idea. It takes USA so many years to enforced law on smuggling etc. So much money and resources are poured in. If you were a developing country where such resources were not readily available, it is hard to enforce the law. Now the animal already in Asia...
