I was hoping he would fire like the Mitsio in your avatar, but hes just a solid yellow, apart from the hints of red. Still, Im very happy that he is now a big boy and getting territorial, now he just needs to realise the peachy colored ones are females! :D

The idea of raising them off the base of the tub is so the frass (poo) falls through the mesh and theyre not crawling through it. Not all of it will fall through, but I cleaned mine every 3-4 days, anti bacterial everytime, washed hands thorughly and anti bacterial them too. Keeping them clean...

Probably scars from fighting or scratches from your new fake plant. The female doesnt look good at all. I suggest taking her to the vets if she is to have any chance of surviving. I used to breed with Ankaramy and had great success with them. I didnt find them any different from any of the other locales I work with or have worked with (Cap Est, Nosy Faly, Nosy Mitsio, Tamatave, Ambilobe). I feed all mine with a variety of food items, mainly locusts, crickets and roaches...

Theres nothing wrong with him. Hes just trying to kill it, like a pitbull does, bite and shake! lol The fact hes able to catch his food when theyre running around so fast is a plus, and hes certainly quick on his feet!

200 nozzles from 3 pumps? Thats amazing, I didnt think they could power so many without losing pressure! perhaps I should double my nozzles....;)
