Introducing Rakaposhy Faly

Took a couple quick update shots today. He was flashing a tone of white till we took him outside and got the camera. I have always been one that will post pics of my cham's in all there colors and not just fired up so here are a few from today in really dark and relaxed colorations.

Not a fan of the grass at ALL...held this pose for a long time and when you touched him he moved as if one stiff dead animal

Thanks for all the kind words!! I really appreciate them. I am really enjoying watching this guy mature. He doesn't look like it in the pictures but he is one of the more mild mannered male chams I have. Always willing to come hang out.

**Baby picture alert**


Since there has been this crazy, on-going, thing about how Nosy Faly's color up and when this "red rain" comes on in development I thought it would be interesting to post up some of the first pictures I have of this guy...these are not my photos but I believe I have permission to post them.
You can also look at my Maromokotro thread where I have posted pictures of him at every stage of development.

The way I look at it, I could see what this guy was going to look like even when he had baby colors...it's sort of like one of those pictures you look at it long enough and you can see the 3D image pop out at you Love to know what you all think about development because I think we can all agree this guy is 100% pure Faly, because if he isn't I have never seen one

Thanks Lee!!! I am loving his clean lines too. I enjoy taking the photos of these guys almost as much as I love keeping them I was using an older Canon DSLR and a zoom lens 18-135 I think on some and a 100mm macro on some of the others. I often use a ring flash in or out to get a better F stop and increase depth of field in my shots. I purposely didn't on a shot that I entered in the photo contest this month to just have the eyes on my baby K.Mats in focus and I guess not everyone liked the artsy type photo because it didn't make the voting this month

Had the boys out together today. All was going great till Dr. Manaslu thought Rak was a chick He was head bobbing himself almost off his branch. Rak was far from amused and turned on his brightest colors but it didn't seem to deter Man at all

I have had a hard time getting some good shots of this little stud. He has slowed his growth just a bit, partly because if he gets down on the floor just in the right position he can oogle the female row. I didn't know this was happening tell my wife came home and found him contorted in the bottom of his cage all excited Somehow i have to figure out something to get his mind off the ladies I have had a similar problem with another juvi where he was totally uninterested in food because he was more interested in the "scenery"

I am LOVING all the yellow he is developing in his face and eyes
