I've heard of not touching turtles but not chams. My 11 month old loves seeing(not touching) our chams and snakes... Goes wild for them and we haven't had an issue yet :).
Congrats on the baby as well.
Looks like an egg to me, tho I'm no expert as well. When our girl was gravid you could almost count how many she had near the back. I thought she was going to burst.
I agree with reptilelove18. Put a laying bin in with her.
I missed the signs of ours being gravid this last time. Got lucky...
Our veiled hatchlings have varied from brown, black, green, tan, stripped. Lol. Colours will come all in good time as everyone's said and when they show...we want pics!!
Supers have always creeped me out. Hornworms tho, with that big spikey thing on there butt... I'm always worried they will stab me. If a cricket crawls on me I loose my shhh. Cup feeding only in our house lol
Yea her cage is big enough to have the laying bin in all the time. Like I said normally I put it in there well before.
Lesson learned for sure.
And I have them all in the incubator just in case already.
Her first clutch of 40 hatched 29+1 died while hatching. There's still 3 eggs left in...
So our girl has been her perfect grumpy self the last few days. She laid a clutch of 64 eggs in Oct but has put back on her weight and was looking healthy.
Then yesterday I notice (while she's up on some branches) there's 3 very small eggs on the bottom of the cage. This was quite a shock...
I think the ones we have are 250 watt or something crazy like that is all lol
And yep they are. Cute lil things. Wish I could keep every single one of them :)!
53 on the cold side was during the day. But again it was a test set up lol. It appears the livingroom side of the house is much to cold for the little things.
They are currently set up in the kitchen with temps right in the 74-76 range (depending how long I have the oven on for lol).
Veileds.
I wanted to move them to a different room but being that its winter in Ontario and our house is old and cold I have a feeling the 'cold' end will be to cold for the babies.
I set up a new cages to get temps and the cold end is sitting at 53.
