I found it took more than a 45 second misting to get my guys to drink. I do 5 minutes(for the extra large cages) morning and night, and a minute mid day.
For a place the size of Nova Scotia to have desert, rain forest, dry/wet jungle all within a couple hours drive is amazing!! People were great!! I need to get a little further down the coast (Tamarindo maybe?) and try some surfing. Not much of that here in Canada!! I'm sure I'll be a return...
I stayed at the RIU Guanacaste. Papagayo. About 20 minute drive from Playa del Coco. Nice place but if you don't explore Costa Rica(off resort) you are missing out for sure....just got home Monday and I'm already planning to return. Most places I go to once and feel "been there, done that"...

Close up with the wild monkeys at the resort.
This spider monkey was a rescue at the zip line place(Congo trail). He took to my girlfriend...

Howler monkeys eating the flowers in the tree beside the pool bar
Sunning by the pool
These were all taken at the resort. So much wildlife!!!

They can't climb the inside of a plastic tote so that is ideal. You can cut out the top and put in screen for ventilation. I use a heat lamp to speed reproduction. As far as how long till you can use them as a steady food sorce, well that depends how many you start with and how many mouths you...
