Not to take the limelight away from quads but another impressive montane species is the sailfin chameleon. Google sailfin chameleon and look at the pic. They are another delight to own and the sailfin that runs along the back and tail is impressive.
We have one a male and he is awesome. I got him from First Choice Reptiles last March, he was captive hatched from WC parents and he just turned 1yr this past Novemeber. They require the same care as any montane species of chameleon requires cooler temps and much higher humidity. Forum member...
Just wanted to share some update photos of Lil Louie. He so far is very much living up to to the nickname the golden boy that his breeders Steve and Lindsay(screen names mcleodschams & Linzeecooperpanther) of Captive Creations Canada gave him. I also decided to keep the temperory name the kids...
He is AWESOME!!! He settled right in and and a big part of that has to do with you giving him that extra special attention and I can't thank you enough. Everyone here absolutely adores him so rest assured he will be getting spoiled rotten:D Still can't decide on a name for him out of the ones...
The newest member to the chameleon family has arrived:) he is absolutely beautiful and these pics don't do him any justice all i can say is he is going to be a real looker when he gets older. A big thank you to Steve and Lindsay(screen name mcleodschams) from Captive Creations Canada for...
Would you be willing to take the money you would of spent to ship her and put that towards taking her to a vet? She needs to be looked at ASAP and she is in no shape to be shipped right now.
I too look like a human pin cushion after handling my male veiled. I refuse to wear gloves but I do make sure I have long sleeves on to protect my tattoo as he has a tendency to climb up and down my arms and dig in the process. The ear is another spot he likes to stop at also.
Have you had him in a ficus tree at all? I ask this because our male panther developed eye problems when we started putting him in his ficus tree and it cleared up after we stopped putting him in it.
Even though you have always wanted a Nosy be I would go with the red bar ambilobe because he quite a nice looking one and between the two of them he catches my eye first.
Thank you for sharing such beautiful photos with us all:) You are one lucky person to be able to experience viewing chameleons in their natural habitat.
I am happy to see someone has even more cages then the 14 we have set up all around the house :D nice set ups Hoj looks like you have some very happy chams there :)
