    Ate his own fresh urate

I know of a few mammals that will eat their own or their offspring will eat theirs. It's beneficial to their health. However, I've never heard of reptiles doing this. That doesn't mean it isn't happening or isn't perfectly normal.

Is this hopper safe to feed ?

SeanUTD ..the "tobacco juice" reference is only pertaining to the color of the regurged food.. it's not literal. ;)

Is this hopper safe to feed ?

In one of your pics, the hopper has clearly regurged the "tobacco juice". If it were mine and my Chams, I would pass. Safe than sorry and all that. How old is the one you have pictured? The markings on its legs give me reason to think it is more mature than some on the Bug Guide images ..the...

    Krunch

Haha! In almost 16 weeks cooking, I've only candled once and I force myself not to look more than every couple weeks ..mostly just to do any adjustments on moisture. It kind of helps that I have the Pyg girls and I have a house full of other critters, but I am seriously jones'n for some wee...

    Anyone keep fancy goldfish?

I was thinking the same. They absolutely need 20g for one ..I would even say, 20g for each. I had 2 "feeders" live in a 40g for 12 years. They were HUGE and very happy.

    Exotic Short Hair (Persian)

I use their dog canned food for my skink, one of my torts and my bRats. It's good quality for them. I have not used the kibble for dog or cat, but it looks like decent quality kibble.

Black crickets suck (can I type suck here??)

This is funny! :D People say I'm crazy.. super/king worm bites and cricket bites completely freak me out. I mean, screaming.. squealing.. jumping around... freak me out! Yet, I have very large snakes, tarantulas and so on ...that I handle often and without a hitch. *maybe I am crazy* :p

Black crickets suck (can I type suck here??)

Holy Cow! Their bite is nasty.. that's for sure! I try to avoid getting bit by them, though.

Black crickets suck (can I type suck here??)

Interesting. I prefer the Black crickets over the others for several reasons. -They are quieter. -They don't smell as rank. (I clean the bin regularly.) -They eat everything, especially, the really important greens. -They appear to be more "meat" for the mouthful, in comparison. -They...

    cricket crack shelf life

Why would you message Chad from Tiki Tiki and Steve makes it? Just curious.. I received a pound of it, yesterday. I wanted to sample it with my gang. I have several colonies of various bugs and they all seem to be devouring it. I don't imagine it will last long enough to be an issue, but I...
