I know of a few mammals that will eat their own or their offspring will eat theirs. It's beneficial to their health. However, I've never heard of reptiles doing this. That doesn't mean it isn't happening or isn't perfectly normal.
In one of your pics, the hopper has clearly regurged the "tobacco juice". If it were mine and my Chams, I would pass. Safe than sorry and all that.
How old is the one you have pictured? The markings on its legs give me reason to think it is more mature than some on the Bug Guide images ..the...
thephotoprincess is absolutely correct! Hilarious.. but so true!
I guarantee you will not stay angry for any mischief longer than 5 minutes.. with a face like this kitty has :)
Haha! In almost 16 weeks cooking, I've only candled once and I force myself not to look more than every couple weeks ..mostly just to do any adjustments on moisture.

This is funny! :D
People say I'm crazy.. super/king worm bites and cricket bites completely freak me out. I mean, screaming.. squealing.. jumping around... freak me out! Yet, I have very large snakes, tarantulas and so on ...that I handle often and without a hitch. *maybe I am crazy* :p

I received a pound of it, yesterday. I wanted to sample it with my gang. I have several colonies of various bugs and they all seem to be devouring it. I don't imagine it will last long enough to be an issue, but I...
