Thanks for the comments. Yes they are awesome but not so much huggable. definitely aloof and prefer things on their terms. our other one is more social but only if he wants something - like a ride to another plant or another part of the house. then he will climb on us.

we have had them for a little more than two months and are pleased with their progress. this one has gained over 60 grams since we brought them home and the other one has gained almost as much. i really think free ranging them is beneficial and contributing to their health and well-being.

i love all of our chameleons but melleri are definitely special.

Am i the only person who thinks they have pretty ugly heads?
This is not meant to insult you or your chameleon, i´m sure they make wonderful pets.
I just want to know if i´m an exception or if others think the same way
