I went to every other day feedings when my male veiled was around a year old. Monty now eats 10-12 crickets or ~8 medium to large (not adult) dubias every other day. On some inbetween days I'll give him 2-3 superworms.
I use Repashy calcium plus LoD. I dust and feed staple feeders every other day. On inbetween days I'll lightly dust a few superworms as a treat. I have superpig too but I have just started to use it.
Lets see your set up. Your questions can be answered in the countless threads that can be found by typing in "first days home with new chameleon" In the search.
tons of useful info there. Good luck with your new chameleon

2. male veiled 1.5 years

I've found a 75w bulb will produce plenty of basking heat (~90F) while still being 8 inches from the top of my veild's casque. He's 1.5 years old. During warmer months I switch it out with a 60w bulb. Still plenty of heat.
Good luck. She will turn up. I accidently left the door open on my enclosure one time and my little guy was two rooms down the hall on our babies changing table. It was hours later that he was there. Don't lose hope you'll find her.
If your up for some reading, use the search button and type in glass vs screen enclosure. I just tried it and got a ton of info.

Get a mistking. Why even bother with something else. Many of us on this forum will agree. Keeping chameleons is not a cheap hobby. Buy the best equipment you can and it will treat you well.
You should have saved up for a proper enclosure before purchasing a chameleon.
This will help you out immensely as you are in need of some guidance.

Warm water will breed bacteria which will require you to clean your misting reservoir frequently. When my Cham is shedding and the humidity is low I will hand mist warm water. He doesn't like either. Some chams, it seems, don't like being misted directly.
Go with a screen enclosure. People use coroplast, shower curtains, and plastic to maintain humidity in winter then remove the coverings when needed. Dragon Strand makes excellent enclosures. I got mine from a site sponsor FLchams. Very good quality as well.
Monsoon misters are all junk. They have an almost 100% failure rate. Some last a few days, some last a Don't waste your money on one. If you already have one sorry. Get a mistking system. Sooooo much better and much more reliable.
Most crickets stay in the cup. Some do inevitably jump out. If they do get out my Cham seems to hunt them down before lights out. I put my "cup" in 30 min after lights on so he has plenty of time to feed at his leisure.
