    Thoughts on behaviour… baby panthers

I have never heard of this, thank you for sharing. Do you know is there would be any common symptoms of stress? All are eating and drinking fine, showing healthy growth and generally avoiding each other.

    Thoughts on behaviour… baby panthers

Right now I’m mostly observing, and (for now) leaving them together. I DIY’ed a massive enclosure (20”x64”x76”) with dividers that can be placed in it to separate at any time. If they continue living peacefully together, I will leave them, but as soon as I see bullying they will be separated...

    Thoughts on behaviour… baby panthers

I have a group of 7-week old panthers, (not 100% sure but) majority males, and I have noticed some interesting interactions between them. At 1-3 weeks old, the babies would often crawl over each other. Not purposefully, but just to get from point A to point B. The crawled-upon cham would get...

    Tail Tuesday

A parody of that one pic of a veiled holding a toy sword… I raise you a baby panther. Tiny tail curl on the bottom.

    Cool silhouette photo

Last night on the free-range, Leo always sleeps here. He loves that one branch sticking out.

    Tiny leaf walk!

I’m certain that while this is a single photo, experienced keepers on here can still see the shaky leaf walk in the photo.

    Your chameleons name and why

Interesting! Very cool how these guys have such diverse personalities, I think most people associate reptiles with a sort of coldness… even I was pleasantly surprised by Leo.

    Your chameleons name and why

I think female panthers tend to be more shy. My male is very outgoing, and will even stare at people (with both eyes), but my girl does not appreciate people at all (though she will reluctantly come out, overall she’s far more shy than Leo).

    Your chameleons name and why

Leo is short for Leonidas, which I found in a book and liked. Clea is short for Cratesiclea, who was the wife of Leonidas II of Sparta, and I will name one of their baby boys Cleomenes as he was their heir. Perhaps I will keep a girl too and name her Chilonis. It just kinda snowballed, and...

    DART

White arrow is cloacal opening. Blue shows the absence of a bulge. Sorry I didn’t clarify, that’s what I meant by a thinner tail.

    DART

Forgot to note: - slimmer, slightly shorter tail - no sign of male colours (could just be the individual- still supports female tho) - shorter rostral crest (something I’ve noticed in mine) - less severe crest and casque

Stumped the vet -- anyone ever seen this?

I’ll ad to similar cases- my female came to me with a similar lump on her casque. Only one, hasn’t grown or shrunk at all, even with taking her off synthetic supplements (sunlight and calcium only, treating gular edema). I’ve looked, and she has no other lumps, no other issues, just a little...

Stumped the vet -- anyone ever seen this?

I would be interested to see an X-ray. Could it be perhaps some form of bone cancer?
