Yeah she is really looking like she is going to have the babies anyday now. She is back to her not moving around much again. So I am expecting her to have them any day now lol
Best info out there I have found is this link. http://www.frogforum.net/care-articles/3254-culturing-crickets-care-breeding-common-house-cricket.html
It is the one I follow and it currently produces about 10,000 new crickets a week.
without a doubt without any issues. Like I said I have it running 5 nozzles for 3 cages and it runs flawlessly. I am glad I did the research and got the best possible system out there. It never misses a beat and it is great for me because I also have to work all day and I am glad I do not...
Well it looks like I am going to switch back to the old ways of Calcium with no D3 2-4 days a week, Calcium with D3 once every 4-6 weeks, and multivitamin once ever 4-6 weeks and cut out the Repashy Calcium Plus all together for my Jacksons.
Yes I ran into the same deal except it wasn't petsmart but was a local petstore. They are pregnant usually for 6-9 months. It is also possible they may have more than one set of babies in a short period of time. Mine gave birth about 4 weeks ago and she looks like she is going to give birth...
Separate them right away please or she very well may eat them. I put the 10 mine had in a 12x12x18 screen cage. Here is a couple of threads that goes over some good information from long time jackson's keepers, myself and another Hawaii member that also had Jackson's babies the same day as...
Can you please be more specific with the kind of calcium you are giving him? There are different kinds. Calcium with no D3, Calcium with D3. Then there is the Repashy Calcium plus. You should ONLY be giving him/her calcium with D3 once ever 4-6 weeks. You should be giving him/her calcium...
Do yourself a long time favor and ditch the monsoon and get a mistking. I absolutely love my mistking and have absolutely zero issues with it. Check out Wykd's blog on the comparison of the different misting sytems.
That is a good size. I currently have 10 baby Jacksons in a 12x18x18 and that seems to be the perfect size for all of them. You want to start separating them when they start getting dominant over the other or about 3 months is what I was told. You want to make sure that at that point you...
Thanks for starting this thread. I will for sure be following it. I Have two Jacksons and only have been using the Repashy Calcium Plus once a week and then just plain calcium dustings about 4 days a week. I got this schedule from Hoj and it seems to work really great. I for sure will not be...
I have read that it is possible for a female to have more than one clutch within a short period of time but wanted to see if anyone here has had a Jackson give birth to more than one clutch within a couple months? The reason I ask is because my Female Jackson Tessy just gave birth less than 4...
For around the same price you might as well get a larger container. You can get the 48 gallon for about $10. I would say yes you would be ok with that number as long as you have plenty of egg crates in the 12 gallon. You really do not need to give them water as they will get all they need...
Yeah we do have a quite a bit of geckos in the house. Sometimes if I see a baby one and he looks hungry I feel bad so I will grab him some pinhead crickets from the stash and feed them. I am grateful that we have geckos in the house for sure.
Yeah for sure. The good thing is we have tons of geckos here and plenty in the house that take care of most of the bugs that do get in. But not even they will touch the large Roaches  Luckily we have only ever found 2 large roaches that somehow got in and am sure the geckos are taking...
Yes but no Dubia's. We have the American Roach that I will not touch. They are huge and aggressive much more so than compared to them in the Main Land. In fact the other night I was sitting outside and this giant one flew right on my face, it felt like a bat but was a HUGE American Roach...
You can keep quite a bit depending on how many egg flats you have in there. I use the large egg flats and stack them pretty high giving them plenty of room. I house about 5,000 in a large 48 gallon one no problem and the deaths are very minimal. What I did was cut about half of the lid and...
