cricket breeding

Awesome :D do you have any roaches in Hawaii?

Yes but no Dubia's. We have the American Roach that I will not touch. They are huge and aggressive much more so than compared to them in the Main Land. In fact the other night I was sitting outside and this giant one flew right on my face, it felt like a bat but was a HUGE American Roach. There are some other kinds of roaches here but are much harder to breed than the Dubia's. We also have the Oriental Roach, German Roach, and the Brown Banded Roach.

Yeah for sure. The good thing is we have tons of geckos here and plenty in the house that take care of most of the bugs that do get in. But not even they will touch the large Roaches  Luckily we have only ever found 2 large roaches that somehow got in and am sure the geckos are taking care of the smaller ones. I think we hijacked his thread lol :D

Yeah we do have a quite a bit of geckos in the house. Sometimes if I see a baby one and he looks hungry I feel bad so I will grab him some pinhead crickets from the stash and feed them. I am grateful that we have geckos in the house for sure.

So if I got a 12 gallon tub I could keep like 500-1k crickets in there as long as I have enough egg crates stacked in there? I have been told that all you need to do to water crickets is to just moisten some paper towel and drop that in the tub.

For around the same price you might as well get a larger container. You can get the 48 gallon for about $10. I would say yes you would be ok with that number as long as you have plenty of egg crates in the 12 gallon. You really do not need to give them water as they will get all they need from the fruits and veggies they eat. Just make sure they get juicy stuff like oranges, apples, etc.
