I have two veileds as well and I hardly ever see them drinking as well. I think they do it when I'm not in the room. Mine don't like to be misted either.
That is awsome that you got him to eat out of your hands. We have tired once with one of ours and no such luck yet. Some of my guys won't even eat when I'm in the room.
Update
I took her to the vet and they said the physically she is healthy and that she does not have eggs in her. He did give us some medicine to give her just in case she does had a little infection. She is happy but still not really eating.
