All of the time, effort, patience, care, love, joy, happiness, worry, anxiety, money, cautiousness and admiration that we put into and get out of our chams can be gone in an instant, literally in a blink of an eye.

It is with great sadness and heaviness of heart that I come to report the passing of my Fenix. We had a tragic, freak accident that involved falling and he died on impact. I can't explain the series of events other than it was a totally freak moment.

Those of you that have followed me and my boys know that I take exceptional care and pride on how I raise my boys. This tragedy does not and will not change my outlook and future plans with chameleons. My love for these animals is strong and deep and I will continue to move forward.

I will take some time to mourn and love Walker just a little bit more, but ya'll know that you can't keep me down for long.

Damn Max, that is the last thing I expected, as I am sure it was not what you were expecting. I know, like I do, you will come around, but it just feeds like a fist to the gut when you lose one. I am so sorry it happened. We are all here for you. RIP Fenix.
 
I'm so sorry Max. :( Like Laurie said, losing a cham hits you a LOT harder than you ever think it will. Having lost 3 of my own, I know it takes time and it never gets any easier. It sounds like you love having them around as much as I do - the house just isn't the same without at least one of these amazing creatures.
 
Oh no, such a shame and a shock. At least he was looked after and loved properly for all his life, that's all we can ever hope for really. RIP Fenix.
 
Such sad, sad news. My heart is breaking for you. Fenix was so handsome and I so enjoyed seeing his photos. I am so very sorry he is no longer with you.
 
Thank you so much, everybody. Still in shock. It is tough to witness something like this happening right before your eyes.
 
Omg...Max... I'm so sorry...I had to read through twice before it even sank in..I was a Fenix fan....we are here for you. I'm so sorry for your loss.. RIP Fenix...
 
Sorry for your loss max but at least you can be sure your cham has had a happy upbringing as anyone that has read any of your posts can see
 
I was totally shocked when I read the title too...

I have been watching your boys grow on here and Instagram, and I am so sorry to here Fenix is no longer with us. He was really beautiful - I hope that the great memories you had together help get you through this difficult time.

I'll be honest...I was expecting just more Fenix getting into stuff pics from hatchdate to today...if I was closer to Texas I'd hug you :(
 
Disbelief was all I felt when I saw the title of the post. I always look at all the pics of your boys. Sorry you have to go through another loss. I know how much you care for and love your chams. They are special creatures. RIP Fenix.
 
I just can't believe this, reading about Fenix and seeing this beautiful boy, it just breaks my heart to pieces.....I am so very sorry Max...RIP Fenix.

Oh Max, I am so sorry :(. I did not want this to be true. Thankfully we have a lot of great pics to remember him by, but he will be missed. I am in shock. RIP little guy! :(
