Sorry, I thought I posted earlier but I think it got wiped.
Her pics look pretty good to me actually. The top of her head looks like it has a slight deformity in one picture? I'm not sure.
You said she's really weak, so that's definitely not good, but it sounds like you're doing...
My Nosy be is named Rygel out of love of Farscape, and also because of the blue supergiant star Rigel.
If/When we get a female, we're naming her Zhaan, the "blue arsed bitch". ;)
Todd, thanks a lot for your input!
I took Rygel to the vet tonight, and indeed it was a sperm plug. He had two of them in fact. The vet was great and knew exactly what he was doing, and got both of them out. He's got a bit of irritation going on, but that's to be expected. Man they were...
I've never heard of that... but geez yes remove the biovine. I'm sure it can't be good for him, and it's obviously a risk for impaction.
I don't know what kind of biovine you have, but there are several different brands. Try a different type. He has real plants in his cage... why he wants...
Nice job KShook. I hope your owner friend appreciates your help, and I know the little girl will!
If your friend does all of the items you advised, especially changing the bulb and increasing the water, then I would say keep it up for a week, see what changes occur.
She COULD be hiding...
Not enough info to make any kind of accurate guesses.
Need info on what kind of setup she's in, feeding, watering, etc.
She could be too hot, too cold, too humid, not enough water, not enough supplements, MDB, getting ready to lay eggs and not having a bin, stressed, etc...
That's so odd that it happened so fast and suddenly like that. I'm so sorry you lost your cam.
If his body was so flat, I'm wondering if maybe something happened internally which caused his lung to collapse? Total guess on my part.
My guy loves superworms. I haven't had a chance to feed him hornworms yet unfortunately. I haven't found a way to get them that isn't horribly expensive.
He gets a bit enthusiastic when chomping those guys. He likes crunching them. Sometimes I find disembodied tails of superworm at the...
4-5 Weeks old is really young. For feeding, give him as many fruit flies as he'll take. You might be able to give him houseflies too. Pinhead crickets as well.
Also, is it just me or does that lamp look really close to the top? Make sure it's not hot enough that you could burn your baby...
Well forget what I said before. Turns out he's just really good at hiding the issue, depending on how his tail is positioned. I saw him when his tail was curled up and he was sleeping last night, and saw the redness and swelling again.
This morning, I took him and soaked him again for a few...
Yeah, for some reason at work people don't want to hear about how your chameleon had a nice healthy poo yesterday.
I'm glad his burn is doing better. I still feel awful about the little burn I gave my guy. Two sheds later though and you can't even tell anymore. Fortunately it wasn't severe...
Okay now I have no idea.
I went to go give him a bath last night, and take pictures. There was no swelling whatsoever. He was squirming a lot while I was trying to take a look at him, but I repositioned his tail as much as possible to get a good look, and I couldn't find any evidence of...
One vote for Jacksons. They're such pretty chams and the horns are really cool. Plus they're such well-mannered chameleons compared to your average Veiled.
What they lack in the flashy color department they make up for in personality.
Likely it's this, and I'll add something to it. Either she's missing something she wants, or she's trying to get away from something she doesn't want. Examples could be high traffic (scared of seeing people, trying to find somewhere to hide) or a reflective surface or window where she's seeing...
A couple pointers:
Here's another starter set that I'm personally a fan of. They have great enclosures too. The breeder is also excellent.

Also, don't overlook Jacksons chameleons as your starter species. I found my Jacksons to be much...
Yeah they definitely slow down as they get older, and it still throws me off wondering if he's healthy or not.
My Panther is totally off crickets and I've almost given up on trying to get him on them again. He likes superworms and waxworms and that's about it.
So much different than when...
I'm fairly positive it's not a prolapse. I'd have gone to the vet in a nanosecond if that'd happened. Right now it's just that one side of his vent is a little bit red and swollen. The little piece of urate that was in his vent looks like the size of a small hangnail.
I don't know what a...
