I have one R.brevicaudatus, its not so colorful but I think it's cool when they disguise as leaves, the patterns are neat. Mine is just 2 months old and so far has survived all my newbie mistakes so I'd say thier pretty hardy.

This might be a dumb question but is activated charcoal bad or does it make a diffrence? I dont really feel like blending my own charcoal but I can onlyfind actived charcoal powder and not regualar.

This post reminds me, I was wondering when you have a screen enclosure dont the bugs get out? What if you have a baby and are using little feeders, I've never had a screen enclosure yet so I was just wondering if the feeders escaping is ever an issue.

So I noticed this white bump thingy on my pygmy about 2 days ago, I tried to wipe it off with a q-tip but no luck. Is he shedding? Sorry I'm new at this, I'm not sure if I should be concerned, he seems fine otherwise.

I only have a 10gal and sometimes I loose my pygmy, maybe if you get a few more you can have more luck locating at least one!

I have a thermometer and hydrometer from them, the thermometer seems to be accurate but the humidity says it's 80-90 and my digital one says it's only 50-60. I'm not sure which to believe, their seems to be plenty of water droplets left in the cage even hours after misting.

So I got fruit flies but thier so small I cant see how many r in thier or if he's eating. How long can they go without food? I tried putting some other fruit and dried stuff in there too but I dont think hes touched it.
