Ya I hate to say it but they just dont know what theyre doing. Thats asounds really suspicious about them having to calm him down?! Id like it everyone were to boycott petsmart and petco for selling chams :)
Wont cost that much just to look at him, depending on what needs to be done though it may be more. Also are you supplementing to feeders? Other than crickets, if hes not eating those you may want to get silkworms. They will even hydrate him more. He will need a new cage also pretty soon...
Mine do but its common for them to get bored of them. Try feeding them silkworms mainly for a week or two, then throw a few crickets in there again to see what happens.
And unless water is landing on it from the mister, you should water it once a week still. Personally I like it when th miister isn't watering the plants so they can dry out and only get watered when I want them to be
It was either the temps, or that virus
Temps should be 78+ to mid 80's. If they do have that Virus they will turn into sludge like that, but not immediately from what Ive seen. Mine died off slowly one by one. but my temps are usually 78-80
1. Silks or roaches are prolly better just because you can breed them easily. I always feed off phoenix worms every other day though
2. The eggs have to be refrigerated (Called Diapause) just because thats how they evolved. The cold is most likely to simulate a winter they'd go through in...
Ya they will eat them :). I wouldn't do it though, no telling what theyve been exposed too, not to mention what they're feeders have eaten also. Im not even sure how easy they'd be to digest
