Why is it a bad idea to get hatchlings?

I understand why now. I just meant that we could on go on for days about captive bred anything vs wild caught. If thats what you want to share your opinion on, thats up to you.:p

Why is it a bad idea to get hatchlings?

Both of you are right. but i still think most of these ishues can be solved with education, and backup plans. It seems blaming the breeder for the owners mistakes is unfair (not saying either of you are saying that) and as for the wild caught ishues, well thats a whole seperate thread, but its...

Why is it a bad idea to get hatchlings?

I agree, though i figured that was nothing researching couldnt help you decide if you're equipped. And as for buying babies just because theyre cute, well i think we can all agree that would be irresponsible.

    Friendliness between species?

I definitely agree that theyre all different :D. I read that if they go to bite you and you leave altogether theyll act just like the first one you described. Its good to hear of such diversity though, you read so much about people saying to never ever handle them which i dont think is...

Why is it a bad idea to get hatchlings?

I see:p i can definitely understand the thought process. Though i figured if you got them young thats more time for them to get used to you, at a young age. Yeah, although feeding wouldnt be hard to handle.. fancyraptor has a goodpoint about the mortality rate. Though, i think its the...

    Friendliness between species?

Why is it a bad idea to get hatchlings?

why is it a bad idea to buy chameleons under three months? I keep hearing of how its a bad idea to get them so young but no one says why? If they dont rely on their parents? Is it a social need? I cant imagine chameleons needing socializing.. Is it a dont count your chickens before they...

    White nasal buildup.

So i had chameleons a lon time ago and they eventually died because of a light ishue (they were my babies and id rather not talk about it:( but im pretty sure it was mbd.) Can you feed your chameleon moths?

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to clear it up :D. Unfortunately alot of people just immediately rage without a second thought. Im glad we could come to an understanding

Can you feed your chameleon moths?

You're definitely right. :p I meant the act of uprooting it from its home is cruel, not the adopting and taking care of any Chamleon sick, healthy wildcaught, etc. as long as theres a market for it people will keep catching and selling them. And not buying them leaves alot of ishues about...
