Shower curtain is a fantastic idea! Thatd give you a sturdier plastic than trashbags or foil. (Ive used foil before it worked pretty well, though not very pretty)
;)
My dogs dont really care about my chameleon except for the boxer whoch is fine but hes 90 pounds and very much a puppy lol! I just didnt want to take the risk. :p better safe than sorry. ;)
Wow so young That was definitely my mistake, i think she was three to four months in that photo. I dont have a good place to setup free range and since i have dogs i would usually just put the dogs in another room and open the door and let them explore, under my watchful eye. If the windows were...
I agree with nightanole, i always feed with tongs because im whimpy and hate touching bugs especially worms lol! I read somewhere you should try to hand feed or with tongs and if he doesnt take it, dont leave it. Come back tomarrow and try it again. Do this for a max of 3/4 days with the idea of...
so ive had chemeleons in the past, and when i fed them i always just let them eat untill they were full. I know this probably isnt desirable but they werent over wieght.
Is this a bad idea? Or just sloppy?
is bamboo a safe plant for chameleons to have as their main/ only live plant? In the future i was to get a spider plant and maybe a pathos vine. But a bamboo would be very easy for me to care for if itll be safe.
I know its hard for them to climb on with the large smooth stalks but ill have...
how often should you give vitamin dust?
I plan on getting a vieled chameleon with the basic diet being crickets and lettuce. (Along with all the other stuff they need less often)
I dont have a misting system, ive had ishues with them so thats why ive decided to attempt to diy. If i could fog on any schedule in combination with hand misting would be gravy for me. If i ever went on a long car trip my chameleons would be left without water. So i thought a fogger would be a...
I never thought they were being stressed because they were almost always green, i thought they became gravid at 6 months? But your point still stands. I was actually building another cage to separate them at that time but then i lost them I free ranged them alot so i think thats an exelent...
Is constant/ near constant fog in a screen cage a bad idea?
Im planning on making on similar to this. Ill probably use a "tarp" or something to cover up the back so if i do use a hand spray bottle its not spraying my wall. I plan on getting a vieled chameleon.
When i got my first chameleon we decided to get a male and female (they were hatchlings) and separate them when they were older. And they loved being handled every-time i opened the door they'd ignore the food and come running up my arm (over the cricket and on the tweezers lol!) unfortunately...
