I came home from work yesterday to find that my juvie panther (~5 months old) apparently had shed while I was gone. He has a little patch on his nose still, but I saw larger chunks of skin throughout the cage. I was wondering if shedding this quickly is normal, and if I should leave the bit on...
Hey all, I had a bit of an inspiration last night and wanted to get feedback on the idea...
I have a pretty limited drainage system, but got the idea of using puppy training pads (without any chemical additives) as a liner for the bottom of cages, as they absorb moisture well, plus are cheap...
Hi guys, just celebrated my first week of being a newbie cham owner of a 3-month-old panther named Jake. I thought I'd put some pics up of my guy and his enclosure...I'm still trying to get drainage sorted out, but otherwise it's been a great ride. He'll even eat from a cup when I hold it out...

I'm a new panther owner (he's just a little guy still, eating 1/2" crickets) and am wondering if there are any tricks to feeding...I have a hard time catching crickets and I am a little worried he isn't eating as many as he should be at this age.
Alternatively, is there another mainstay...
I've had one about a week, and after 3 days it started making this horribly loud noise, like an amplified electric shaver. Luckily, it was an easy fix...if you open it up and rotate the fan around, it seems to stop it. Otherwise, it seems to work alright.
Thanks, that's good to know! He was way active the first day, but has been a little quieter since. It makes me feel a little better that it's the norm.
Hey all:
I'm new, just got a juvenile panther chameleon a couple of days ago after a LOT of good advice from browsing this forum. I'm wondering what sorts of behaviors I should expect from my panther, just on a daily basis (like activity level) or any other things I should be aware of early...
