i fed my guy a half inch today...took it down like it was nuthin... i tried giving him a silky but couldn't pull it off the vines... hahaha he tried twice and then left it...this was after the 12 crix he ate so maybe tomorrow ill make sure to give him the silky first thing and see what...
just put them in a container with soil because they dig about 5-9 inches before they spend 10 days in isolation and go through metamorphisys. i keep the container outside....its about 30 degrees celcius in toronto canada.
i bought extra hornworms in the past and so they became cocoons...theyre hatching and emerging as hummingbird moths and theyre pretty big.....i gave 2 of them to my male chameleon and he has eaten them....
is that ok??
my chameleons lips are kind of out of place if you know what i mean. they dont come down perfectly on each other.. theyre a little off.....not sure how to explain this but please try to picture it.....he eats a lot of superworms.....
I have about 20 hornworms that are in their cocoon stage and should emerge as moths within the next 5 days but I'm not sure how to keep them when they're moths. What I mean is what enclosure should I put them in, what should I feed them, how to distinguish between makes and females, where should...
Ok... The chameleon didn't open his mouth once after I posted the priblem. But now I'm worried about a shitting problem. He ate 2 hornworms and about 6 superworms 2 days ago and still no shit. Should I worry? I'm not sure how long it takes for them to shit... Any ideas are very much appreciated.
My chameleons is always opening his mouth for some reason. He's not under the light when he does it so I'm pretty sure he's not overheating. What else could it be?? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Can I feed my hornworms tomato leaves from the garden? I got no food for them and don't want them to die so I'm wondering....
In fact what else can I feed the hornworms besides the hornworm mix.
