Also, make sure the humidity levels are consistent. 60% range should suffice. Make sure your UV lights are actually low enough to be effective. If they are too high up then the UV light will not be as effective.
Hey guys,

He is at least 6 months old, could be younger, but no younger than 4 months. He is eating medium sized crickets. I have about 8 or less medium sized crickets in his cage. However they all like to hang out near his basking site. Captive bred. misting 3 times a day for about 2 minutes. night time...

Hello,
This morning I woke up and saw that my chameleons eye had some clear like substance hanging from his eye. I was wondering if this could be an infection? Hopefully some one can feel me in. by the way his eye is moving around find. Pupils look good and alert.

Hey everyone,
I am interested in purchasing a meller's chameleon and was wondering if anyone is selling them or if anyone knows of a legitimate place where I can possibly purchase one.

Hello everyone,
I am just curious about the living conditions between the panther vs veiled. I currently have a Veiled and I can see getting in the near future getting a panther chameleon, but wanted to know if there are any drastic differences between the living conditions.
Niko
Carol 528, Thanks for that idea, I may try that and see if that will help.
Another question.... If for some reason Yoshi starts to not eat crickets for good, what other calcium rich insect can be a good replace?
Yoshi is around 6-7 months old. as for the burn infection the vet prescribed me a cream called silver sulfadiazine, and for the fungus it too is a cream called miconazole nitrate 2& or miconazole cream #1. I was also given a betadine solution for cleaning the area twice a day.
Hello everyone,
My veiled chameleon Yoshi recently has not been eating from his normal cricket pit. I made a pit out of a water carton and stick crickets in their and usually yoshi will just pick them off. However, when i do leave a worm out on a branch he will go for it, but will not go for...
thanks guys for you input. I am happy the way yoshi is either aggressive or not. hopefully he will get more used to me as time goes on. until then thanks again!

Hello,
I have a veild chameleon who is approximately 5-7 months old. I have had him for about 3 months. When he was younger, he was not so aggressive, more shy. But lately, now that he is a lot bigger, he is super aggresive and will barely let me get near him with out him hissing, or even...
I am located in Tucson, Az and the Vet I used is 24/7 emergency clinic with all sorts of specialists. the name of the place I went to is called Valley Animal Hospital in Tucson. I was actually referred to this clinic by other vet clinics. The place is nice and comforting, and from what I...
Went to the vet!
Hey everyone, I just got back from the vet and the diagnoses is still pending, however she did narrow it down to fungal or a burn. She took a culture and will examine it and wil notify me with in the next few days to confirm a fungal infection or not. The topical applications...
Yea I have been searching around for what people have had to say about the vets and what not. I will be going to the either tonight or tomorrow. Thank you guys for your input! I will keep you guys updated on Yoshi's status!
Niko.
Yea i am considering taking him to the vet. This is my first chameleon ever, so i am new to the vet process as well. Money is not an issue, but i am curious to know how much a visit to the vet would run me?
I believe its a 60 watt bulb, but the branch under the basking spot is with in reasonable distance from the lamp. However, I recently lowered the branch due to me noticing this potential burn.
