Cricket Crack, DinoFuel or Bug Burger? Bug burger seems nice because of everything in it and the fact that it's a gel food. I have used cricket crack and know dubias really like it, but I don't know much at all about DinoFuel. DinoFuels seems to more of a dusting mix not a food source. I'm just...
I would like to know what is the correct mounting height for a 24" 6% t5ho bulb. They say 12-18" but I know there are alot more variables. I have a 2x2x4' screen cage and plan to keep plants within 8-10" from the top. I like alot of plants. So with that kind of setup I'm guessing I don't want to...
I think I will go with the low profile raindome, it looks like it would be a better fit over my cage. I plan to use two single t5 fixtures from lightyourreptile, one with a acadia bulb and the other with a grow bulb, so the single low profile raindome will fit better between the two light fixtures
Hello, I plan to order a raindome kit for a 2x2x4' cage. My question is what GPH nozzle to get, the .9gph or the 3gph. I do have a drain pan under the cage that will be plumbed into a 5 gallon bucket. The cage will have alot of plants, one really large pothos, 2 good size umbrella plants and...
So, what is your vote? raindome or mistking rain nozzle? I want to get one of these to go with my misting system. I'm still trying to deside between a mistking or aquazamp system, they seem to be like a chevy or ford deal. Both good just make your choice.
So how bright are these guys? Can they replace a t5 bulb? I'm stuck between ordering 2 22" single bulb t5 fixtures, one with a acadia 6% and one with a 6500k bulb or replace the 6500k setup for a 21" led bar.
Is there any issue with using a small dome fixture with a night time heat bulb for heat instead of a heat mat? Main reason is my breeding bin will be sitting on carpet (but I could put it on a small stand if needed) and i only have a small heat mat, a bulb would cost alot less then a larger heat...
I tried doing a search without much luck. I want to start collecting some branches for my cage build. It seems the general rule of thumb is to steralize in boiling water to kill off bugs/etc. Most say to remove bark or less its a more smooth bark and the branches are cut down fresh. My question...
This setup will be for a panther, My idea is for the fan to set about a foot away from the side of the cage pushing air left to right along the bottom third of the cage, I will also have a mistking system to maintain humidity. As I said the cage is in a closet, but the closet is 4 foot wide with...
I have a fan just like this that has never been used, It not very powerful, My cage build in in a closet so I can mount the fan on the wall pointed towards the bottom of the cage and that would put the fan about 12-14" from the side of the cage. The cage is a lllreptile 2x2x4, so I think a...
Good point on affecting the heat gradient, I didn't think about that. If I deside to try using one on my new setup I'll have to keep an eye on temps across the cage.
Does anyone use a small fan next to their enclosures for extra air flow? Seems like it couldn't hurt if it was a small fan, plus the added air flow would be great for live plants. Any thoughts?
I'm thinking about getting a jasmine for my cage and was hopeing to see some pics of other member with them. I'm thinking a plastic latis along the back wall covered with flowering jasmine would look awesome and give a nice wall for the cham to play on.
So I picked this washing machine overflow pan for home depot today for $20, It is alittle larger then my 2x2x4 cage but I kind of like that it has about 2.5-3" extra around all 4 sides of the cage, nothing wrong with alittle overhang to catch water that might run down the outside of the cage or...
Ok, I think I have a plan. I will run two of the 22" single t5 fixtures from lightyourreptiles, one along the front of the cage and one along the back of the cage, one with a 6% acadia and the other with a 6500k plant bulb. In between the two t5 fixtures I will put my 5.5" dome fixture for the...
So your plans are for a single t5 plus the basking bulb, you don't think a 5700-6500k bulb for plant growth would be needed? What single bulb fixture did you order? Most I see for reptiles are dual bulb.
