Someone did point that spot out earlier. I think it is an awkward pic of him. He doesnt have mouth rot or an abysses developing and he is eating just fine. I will try later to take a better pic of his mouth on both sides

I'm still so astounded at that fact....and it just makes me like them even more! It's so beautiful how sensitive they are and how important it is to keep the equilibrium balanced
after humans, chameleons really are (in my opinion) the most fascinating creatures :-)
I will buy a new bulb asap.
Do you know what type of plant I could buy that would survive so much watering/humidity level? I use to have two large dracena plants in his cage and after about 4 months they died on me. I know the list for safe plants for chameleons is huge, but do you know what's...

Your Chameleon -Adult Jacksonii Jacksonii Male (does anyone know how to get an exact age on an adult cham?)

So I have caught him now napping during the day (some days he will be active the entire day, other days I catch him taking 'naps' under the basking spot)
His eating habits are still good (eats every other day, I vary his food) and his colors are looking good.
As to my knowledge, I thought they...
So I bought my girl gravid and she gave birth to 18 beauties March 14, 2011.
I don't want to pair her up with my male for awhile (even if she is receptive). How long do you wait for another pairing/breeding?
Sorry to read about the tongue problems. *knock on wood* i have not had a tongue problem occur with mine yet, but I do have a lil guy that after he ate a large cricket (the insects sometimes fight back and bite), he stopped eating and then developed an abscess....Jdog is right, try to still feed...
So Great update on the poor lil guy (of course I didn't get a vet's help) but through you guys and a lot of researching I got him on an antibiotic for his eye and the mouth-rot and I am supplementing him with a reptaid....so this morning his eye looks much better (and im hoping that within 3-7...

I came home the other day to find my gravid female (which was purchased gravid) had given birth to 18 beautiful babies. 2 have died and 1 seems pretty ill. I don't know if i am the only one but I am so nervous about raising these babies. I don't know if they are eating or receiving exactly what...
So not sure if it has a good use for cleaning cages but I do know that some kennels use silver collodial to administer to dogs who have caught parvo (and it does work). Seems to be a strong antiseptic for cleaning cages, I would not use it to clean mine.
Sorry guys, sad disappointing update....Ivan is still not eating (ugh!!!!!)
I have been giving him his nice little warm baths and he seems to like them, he will sit in the dish until he finally decides to leave, crawls up my arm and he is done.
But he is still not eating. I have been weighing...
The bottom of the cage is just paper towels but the two large dracaenas are in pots (with organic soil)....I've never really ever seen him on the soil (but he may have when I wasn't there).....none of the plants (the live and fake) look torn but there may be some that I haven't seen....
......if...
I have not misted him with warm water (it's always about room temperature)....and I have not tried soaking him but I am going to right away once I get home today (I hope that helps him)......should I expect him to immediately defecate in the water or is there a certain amount of times that you...
