We closed in our front porch for our chameleons so that we could control their humidity and temperature. The new "enclosure" also makes a great view looking out of our living room. :)
@ Helios ~ Its some kind of orchid. Not really sure. I inherited it from a friend of mine. She had for about 20 years. When it blooms I will try to research what type it is. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks everyone :) We currently have 2 male oustalet's chameleons, 1 female nosy faly, 2 water dragons (our female is about to lay eggs), 1 bearded dragon and around a dozen tree frogs. I have a small reptile dysfunction. LOL
We're still under construction, but I have been looking for some type of netting material that I could put under the plants that they climb on. Just in case. :D
My husband and I love the reptilian members of our family so much that we decided to give them an upgraded area to roam around. I'm not sure who enjoys it more, us or them? ;-)
They're the food bins. 2 of the buckets have crickets and the other 2 have roaches. We screwed hooks in the ends of the tubs so that we can easily clean them. So far they are eating good out of them.
Here is the new free range area that my husband and I set up for our chameleons. We aren't quite done yet, but we are loving it already. As you can see from the pictures we have an awesome view of our chams both inside and out.
4 oustalets chameleons
1 nosy faly chameleon
2 chinese water dragons
1 bearded dragon
1 ball python
2 skunk geckos
3000 gal pond full of koi fish
2 cats
1 dog
I'd have more chameleons but my husband won't let me. Oh well, its still a good collection of great animals. They all...
I'm no chameleon whisperer either but I think that my panther cham likes to be held. He climbs right onto my hand when it enters his cage. He really likes to perch on my shoulder, especially when I'm outside watering our plants.
I think you got yourself a male. There appears to be a slight bulge at the base of his tail. I could be wrong. Enjoy your cham either way! They are terrific creatures!
