I'm trying to give my chameleon more to eat than just crickets.
Hornworms are more expensive then most other feeders, are they worth the price? Do they have some type of beneficial affect on my chameleon that other feeders won't have?
Thanks in advanced
Thank you so much for your help, i will be getting some new feeders for him then :)
and after some minor adjustments my ambient temps are coming up, so i'll just have to keep an eye on it and keep it consistant.
i feed him approx 10-12 crickets a day and 5 mealworms a week.
as for basking temps, i had another thread about that because i felt they were too low, they were about 83, but im currently trying to get that higher as well as the ambient temps.
Can anyone guess the age of my Veiled...
pics aren't that great, he doesn't like to be bothered and was trying to bask.
I've had him for about a month and got him from a local pet shop.
Thanks for looking.

I'm in complete agreement that my temps should be higher and I want to be able to get them higher but I want to go about it in the right way.
If I was to put some type of heat resistant material, such as a plastic sheet or acrylic to just two of the sides and keeping the mesh on two, would...
Humidity stays around 60%
Basking is 83 to 85
Ambient top is around 78
Ambient middle about 75
and very bottom will get as low as 67.
The reason I asked is because he basks almost all the time.
Ambient temps are high 70s to about 68 at very bottom (where he never goes). This could be a possibility. How would I go about raising the ambient temps?
I'm on my phone so I can't fill that out completely but ....
I'm not sure of age as previously stated
he's a vieled, and eats about 10 crickets a day, fed at about 9 am. And I feed him about 5 mealwarms a week.

My veiled is constantly basking almost every time I look into his cage he is under the basking lamp. Right now I have a 60 watt house clear bulb in there and the basking temp is around 85. I was wondering if I should get a bigger watt because the only time it seems like he doesn't bask is while...
i have a basking light and the linear reptisun 5.0 but i was wanting a little more light for the plants.
i know too much light can hurt their eyes and they could possibly get too much uvb so i was wondering what would be a good linear bulb that would work but wouldnt bother the cham...

I just got a veiled chameleon and i was wondering should i feed him today? what till tomorrow for him to get comfortable? or what? I know they eat a lot as babies so i don't want him to miss a whole day of food if he doesnt have to. Also any other tips to help get him used to the new enclosure...
I JUST set it up so temps aren't going to be accurate right now, but i do have a thermometer right under the basking light and one at the lower part of the enclosure with a hygrometer.
I will be getting a Veiled Chameleon
I'm completely a newbie at this! this is my enclosure, CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is needed. What more can i do or what can i do different to make this enclosure better.
