Poor Bindi, has she still not laid her eggs? are you keeping her in her laying bin? if shes not happy in there might be worth trying a smaller pot in her original viv. Fernie lays in her 6inch deep lunch box with damp vermiculite. ive had no egg problems with her using this method. Fernie...
Hi just a little update if anyone wanted to know. my poorly Bruce has an infection in his mouth so hes got some antibiotics & a check up in a week. but the vet said he should make a ful recovery as we've caught it early & hes a strong boy :) thanks for all your help. we took him to Ben Trimmer...
unfortunantly not. i was told to brush his teeth with tamodine. ive tried twice & it failed my female doesnt mind but my male hates it. he just tries to eat the cotton bud lol
no the female is fine its my boy thats not well. i had a previous thread about his first problem being he wouldnt use his tongue but the vet done blood tests & they all came back fine. the vet said we need to brush his teeth tamodine as he had a little bit of bacteria build up on his teeth but...
Hey i need help on tracking down a good reptile vet for my cham. he's gotten worse since i took him to a vets in southampton. he didnt seem to be a great vet he told me my cham was perfectly healthy just needed his teeth brushing. but now hes gotten worse & sleeping in the daytime for a little...
the blood tests show his calcium level is fine & nothing flagged up. ive now got him on Zoo Med Reptivite with D3. i previously had him on the one without d3. i find it a bit odd that my other chams are fine though. so we'll see if the reptivite with d3 helps. thanks everyone :)
im only acting on what ive been told even though i do agree it is ridiculous to try & brush my chams teeth. thats why i asked on here if anyone else has done or even heard of this. im getting a little frustrated by different opinions on what to do. which is why i asked around for the best...
i asked around for the best reptile vet for chams and all suggested the same guy. we had to travel for an hour to see him. he said my cham had a little bit of bacteria build up on his gums/teeth but thats apparently normal although it could be why he isnt using his tongue. his tongue looks all...
my cham as explained in my other thread wont use his tongue. the vet said he has a tiny bit of bacteria build up or something on his teeth/gums. his gum line is a little bit yellowish which is normal in chams so to brush his teeth with tamodine. only problem is i cant work out how to do it lol
ive been told by the vet to brush my chams teeth with tamodine. has anyone else done this if so can anyone give me some advice on how to get his mouth open or how to do it?
Just a little update. Ive taken Bruce to the vets today they told me his tongue is all normal no damage to it. Blood tests show his calcuim levels are fine so its not the calcium causing the problem. The only thing that the vet can think of is he might of hit it on his new viv & is now to scared...
the bulbs are on top of the viv which is mesh so like an inch away from him. the uvb bulbs are a month old same as the viv. we dust the food every time we feed him. to be honest due to have other reptiles included a female cham & serveral baby chams we order food twice or three times a week the...
