any other thoughts? i already installed uvb 5.0 on top of their holding bins. ive change their setup into a bigger bin with plastic plants and twigs. should i leave the pinheads if they ignore it?
ive been counting the pinheads ive been putting inside the cage. sometimes one will be missing so i doubt they ate it. ill use uvb bulbs tomorrow. ive seen droppings on the plastic leaves and they are just all white. no black droppings. how long should they start eating? thanks!
hi! i just had my first success with breeding chameleons! the veileds started to hatch last week 28th of july. until now, they have not eaten anything yet. i put them in a plastic container (from the middle up are cut and hot glued with screen for ventilation.) with twigs and plastic plants. i...
My female veiled had a very swollen right eye after laying eggs yesterday! i think it is due to substrate that might have went inside her eyes and irritated it? what to do? i kept spraying water and her eyes are still swollen :( i used potting soil like what i usually use when she lays. it's her...
my female 1yo laid her second clutch last week. she's been bred a few times (month before) before she laid her second clutch. now, it's about a week after she has laid her second clutch and i noticed some (majority) are shrinking but NO SIGNS of molding. could the humidity be low? or the eggs...
my female veiled laid her first infertile clutch last august, i got her mated with my male on october. just try to let her see the male every week and observe her behavior if she's receptive :) goodluck!
my first clutch of veiled eggs are still in the incubator. i can't wait to see them hatching! :) congratulations to you! anyway, i've been breeding snakes and i have lost a few due to dried yolk and somehow it got the hatchling dead. so it is important to keep the yolk moist. i have also tried...

those females are gorgeous! i really want to own panther chameleons. may i ask, because panther chameleons are harder to sex than veileds. in the photo, the tail base also have lumps in females? :)
thanks guys! i know sperm plugs come and go. but what i have discovered after reading several threads is that some sperm plugs need manual extraction for some reason. and one member posted that his/her male couldnt fertilize a female after several attempts and he/she later found out that it was...
hi, my veiled chams mated on the last week of october and my female laid 46 eggs on the last week of november. as time passes, some of the eggs got molds so there were only 30 eggs left. the remaining eggs are growing. now my concern is, just 2 days ago, i discovered my male veiled had oversized...
this morning i got up to check on my boy. he's very active as usual but he is lacking his appetite :/ i guess this is from the stitch he had yesterday.
stunning sire! i really want to own panther chameleons. it's hard to get panther chams here in the philippines :( i tried bangkok or hongkong but i always turn out of luck. is there a great season to look for panther babies? i always go out of the country during february to may. and there's...
