So i'm new to chameleon keeping. I'm looking to get a jackson's chameleon and was wondering what supplements it will need, how often it needs them and how to gutload it's food.
I also have another question, as far plants go how do I keep the large plants from getting to big? Won't continuous cutting kill it since i'm keeping it smaller than it should be?
Great, i'll be getting jacksonii xantholophus, btw where would be the best place to keep him? I plan on placing the cage outside as much as possible since I live in Hawaii.
So I'm pretty much as newbie as it gets at this and i have a lot questions.
1)How big of a cage do I need for a single male?
2)What plants can I use?
3)what do I use as far as a basking light and UV light (best brands)?
4)How long should the lights be on?
5)how do I know what temps are too cold...
would using pothos in a Trioceros jacksonii xantholophus(mt.kenya yellow-crested jackson chameleon) be risky(i.e. pothos containing oxalates) using it as one of the plants in my chameleons cage?
high everyone i was wondering if the screening used in cages is metal and if it will rip the chameleons nails out, ive never had this happen to me, but i'd rather be safe than sorry.
hi folks i was just wondering what types of live plants would be good for a jackson chameloen cage and what plants would stay small enough to stay in a cage with dimensions 30lx18wx30t.
sorry i also wanted to know how people use hug plants like hibiscus, umbrella plants, and dracaena just to...
