I would disconnect the hose from the dome and run it for 30 seconds or so, so that some water comes out, then reconnect and try again. I've had the dome act up if it ran dry and this fixed it.
I agree with you, when I called them to ask if they were experienced with panthers, they wanted to see him and suggested 1x a year visits...I had only planned on the one visit anyway. Didn't really think I needed to put him through that annually. I just wanted someone I can trust if he gets sick...
I took our 10 month old male panther for his first check up earlier this week and I have to say although the vet was very nice I didn't feel that he was really knowledgeable. I really only wanted reassurance that he looked healthy and that I've been doing everything right. My concerns came from...
I'm looking forward to reading the answers to this one! I too have this product. I was advised to use it daily with my pygmy and carpet chams from the place I got them from. They did fine with it, but after getting my panther and reading this forum, I started using calcium without D every day...
I was just going to post on this same thing! I got a shipment at the end of last week and 1/2 of them look too big already about 2-3 in. I'm scared he's going to choke on them! I can't afford to keep giving the big ones to the chickens! My guy is about 10 months old too..is it better to buy eggs...
Hello, my poor umbrella tree plant is not doing so well in our enclosure. I'm looking to order a weeping fig as I can't seem to find one around here. Are they anymore hardy?
Thanks!
We got Louie from an expo in Jan. I'm not really good with a camera these are a few over the last few months. Any locale guesses would be fun, I'm guessing he's a mix...
This was a New England expo, the "breeder" couldn't even tell me his exact age, just a 4-6 month old range. I found it odd that he never asked me any questions at all to see if I had a clue. He looked healthy so I went for it. The container he gave him to me in was filthy. There was no info I...
This is the adult cage I ended up getting;
http://www.chameleonsonly.com/products/The_Panther_Palace_Cage_Enclosure_Only-410-8.html
It's a little shorter and wider than the standard 24x24x48, I had to find something that would fit in a certain area, he seems quite happy in it!
$50 for pigmy
$150 for carpet
$250 for panther - got him at an expo, won't do that again. We love him and he's a nice blue/green with some purple in his bars. (My profile pic is terrible and doesn't show his colors) But my son and I felt like we were rescuing him more than purchasing him!

When I was misting by hand I used to run a small humidifier next to his enclosure. Now that I have a automatic system I haven't needed it, it's also naturally humid here in the summer. Have you thought about some plastic along the back side of the enclosure to help, or how about live plants?
