Thanks. I'm in Bakersfield. The 2 Petcos in town both sell them. One has them for $299.99 and the other $149.99 (I have no idea why). The locales are never labeled and the distributor doesn't tell them what they are either. I figured it would be a nice surprise to find out what she is if I ever...
Buying from expos has its ups and down. You get to see the animals in person so you know what your getting and a lot of the time they are cheaper at show (but not with everything).
I second what Olimpia mentioned about flippers. Not saying there all bad and i'm not going to bash anyone. But...
Well went to Petco yesterday and they had this little one there. I figured I just had to have it since a few weeks ago I got a 50% coupon for a reptile on one of my receipts. :D Pretty much stole this one for only 75 bucks.
Looks like a little girl. Showing some nice blues too.
Agreed.
The main reasoning behind not having a water dish with chams is most species do not recognize it a source of water. Thus it has been carried over a common practice for all species. But, just because it's an accepted practice that does not make it the correct practice in all cases...
I highly doubt that it died from starvation after only 5 days. Unless it wasn't eating before hand. More than likely it had something else going on with it.
If your going to be getting another I would recommend disinfecting the enclosure just to be on the safe side.
If they are that...
Amazing. Wish mine would start showing more yellow. As of now all I ever see is his neck and belly.
Who did you get him from/ who sired him if you dont mind me asking.
OK on the crystals. Go to Home Depot and buy a bag of Miracle Grow Water Storage Crystals. It's only $8 and is enough to make 12 gallons of crystals. It lasts forever and is the same exact thing as Fluckers.
Its so much more cost effective to buy in bulk. My Petco sells crickets for .16...
Have you attached screen to them yet?
Ive built some in the past using only 1x1s. They turned out no more shaky than a reptibreeze or lll screen cage.
Besides the frame itself do you have any cross supports?
A pick of what you have done so far would help.
Aren't those things just awesome. I have some 35 pound pull ones and man do they stick.
Good idea with the branches though. I looked before in using them to hang planters inside a cage. Just wasn't cost effective to do so.
Hows the hot glue working for ya though? I feel with such a...
I just moved out to Cali last November. Made the haul from South Florida. Let me tell you that was a drive.:( Especially alone. I made the trip with 2 Beardeds, a Savannah, and a reef tank. The herps made the trip fine but I lost everything with the reef. Half the tank fried by the heater and...
X2
I mean it has to happen in the wild. Ambilobe and Ambanja are only 50 miles apart. Theres no way these two locals have never came in contact with each other.
On a second note "hybrids" are common in the wild. Coyote x fox, Grizzly x Polar, and Burmese x Rock. Now these are what would...
I have a real small on that hasnt grown since we planted it. lol. But alot of people around me have them. Found a entire trash bag full of them a few days ago. Some one just through them out on the side of the road. Man were they ripe. Should have prolly got a few but you never know with that...
Yeah looks like I'm gonna have to find a good "Pic Stick". LOL.
But anyway. He just hit 6 months on the 17. So im thinking hes just going through a late growth spurt. At this rate he'll be pushing 100 grams at the 7 month mark.
