This is my current project !!! It when completed will have 16 cages on the top rack.(not counting the lower shelf) None of the cages will have anything attached to them. All cages can be removed in seconds, taken outside and low pressure washed. Any one or all can also be put outside in the natural sunlight. Each cage will have its own mister, drip and basking lamp. They will share uv light as it has 6-48 inch fixtures. The entire rack can be rolled out into the sun and still have all it's light, heat lamps and misting still fully functional! It will not look pretty but will be the most functional cage rack I have. It has been a lot of work but will be done soon!!!

I love you man!!! :<) the only problem I have with your idea is I would HAVE TO GIVE UP MY CHAMS!!!!!! Nope,no sir, ain't gonna happen !!!!! I'm a HAPPY ADDICT!!!!! The best part is I have drawn up the plans for a 20x30 building to construct in my back yard and a 20x20 outdoor cage area with 15 4x4x8 outdoor cages!!! Ok,ok,OKOKOKOKOK I know I am an addict,my name is Steve and I admit I'm an addict!!! But I'm a happy addict. :D

Not too shabby, brah! How far is your spacing on the rollers (PVC)?

I put the PVC on 6 inch centers like my other rack but it is for 2x2x4 cages and with the 18x18x36 cages I'm not happy with how the cages sit. I am adding another pipe between the existing ones so they will be on 3 inch centers:)

You might check out PVC lattice and see if that will help the cages sit better on the pipe. just a thought. Looks great man!

You SIR are the Master cage builder!!! That is a very good idea!!! I wish I had the woodworking toys you have!!! At this time I'm not building for show but only for functionality. All your cages have both the furniture look and the functionality !!! I have a few new tricks I have learned though!!! I will post pictures when I get this rack done. Im just a little upset that I can't finish it this week as I have to go to DC Thursday. I'll post more Picts later. Thanks Brian!!!!

The trick is what I tell my wife:

"it's either this or hookers and cocaine"....

Either way, looks great Steve. I look forward to seeing it all come together with the lights, misting, etc....

That and it stocked full of critters!!

Thanks bud, you know I hade to make room for 6 new panthers AND 4 new Parsonii !!! WOO HOO!!!!

Nice! I do all of my racks in groups based on 4 foot fixtures too. So I usually go for racks divisible by 3 since my cages are 16" wide. Usually 12 or 18 cages per rack depending on how much space I have to fill.

Looking good so far!

You are a machine. Thankfully I am addicted to breeding feeders, not chameleons. And my boyfriend is being very understanding.

What type of drain do you use?

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments!!! I'm in DC now and am having Cham withdrawal  The drain is a standard shower drain. This rack has two drains that will be plumbed with 11/2 inch pipe. This drainage system will tie into an existing system on one of my other racks. I'm using a rubber hose connection so I can just loosen 1 clamp and roll this rack outside. I can't show you any pictures now but will be happy to take some when I get home. Both Reptoman and I have posted threads in the past showing this type of drainage system so you could look up those for more pictures and information. I stole this idea from Reptoman/Brian and I think he came up with it before anyone else!!!!
It works fantastic and can be used for 1 cage or many. Hope this answers your question. Sorry for the late response but I haven't had time to reply until now.
