So sorry to hear this happened. I lost one a panther cham of mine a little over a year ago and I know how stressful it can be. And like others said, we can help out with research and so forth if you decide to get another chameleon. Take care <3
Hey all! We’ve all taken some goofy shots of our Chams in a weird position or making a ridiculous face. Let’s share our funniest pics! I’ll start with my late boy Cosmo: he was short lived but was a firecracker while I had him 🤣
I’ve only ever carried one of my panthers outside in my hands once, otherwise I’ve just put a free range tree next to my screened window but this cements it. I will not be bringing my boy outside unless he’s got some kind of enclosure around him to keep him safe from predators. I am so sorry for...
Though I named him Ickis when I first adopted him, the name Handsome Larry was always in the running in our shortlist. I decided it would be his nickname, though we’ve been calling him Handsome Larry more and more often 😜
This is pretty much where I'm at. I plan only on fogging in the winter times when things get really dry. My last panther, Cosmo, died very suddenly and might have been developing a URI because I was fogging without getting my temps down low enough. Now, during the hot/humid summer I've got my AC...
Ickis is nearly done with his shed and I decided to pop him onto his free range by the window where real sunlight was coming in through the screen. Just wow!
This is right after I put him back in the cage. Just amazing coloration, sired by Sam over at @FramsChams
I'll also say I just like the look better under the fluorescent bulbs. The colors of everything in the enclosure, including my panther just look nice and bright but not washed out. I tried buying materials to try and diffuse the LED but then I just thought...why am I putting so much effort into...
Experienced this myself. I have two pothos pretty high up in my enclosure and when I switched to a jungle dawn it was simply too bright and was starting to fry them compared to a few T5 daylight bulbs. Don't get me wrong, the jungle dawn is very impressive, but it's too good at what it does and...
I've had something similar happen with my panther too! Only thing that had changed in my husbandry was I had "upgraded" my quad T5 fixture to the arcadia T5 and Jungle dawn LED combo (run diagonally across the top). Wound up even raising those a bit because even the 6% was too intense near the...
Yeah, at least when using the 6% bulb it was enough to make the difference. I imagine you’d wanna do at least 4” if not more if you’re using a 12% bulb.
Funny enough I’ve switched back to my older fixture though 😂 because the LED was so intense it was frying both my pothos and my panther...
