I have 1 month old ambilobe hatchlings and all are doing well except 1. He's been weak for over a week now. I've had to pick him up off the floor of his small enclosure more then once and set him back on a twig. He doesn't eat or drink. His eyes stay closed. A few days ago I started opening his...
Thank you. I just candled all of them and they all look to be doing good inside the eggs. The sad part is I just found a half hatched dead chameleon. It looked perfect, no flaws. Not sure why it didn't finish hatching. Not sure why it died. Poor thing. I hope the next hatchers have better luck...
So I have a batch of Ambilobe Panther Chameleon eggs that have been in a 70 degree cupboard with good humidity and they look great... but in June they will officially be a year old and still no hatching happening. They have grown throughout the year, I have lost a few but most of them appear to...
I'm getting a 6 foot cage by 2 1/2 feet wide and I have some people telling me to get a 5.0 UVB and others telling me 10.0. But the way I see it, Chameleons like to be up high, so why wouldn't 5.0 be fine even in a big cage since they'll be basking near the top often anyway. Wouldn't 10.0 be too...

Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate your input. I was looking into the reptisun the other day, they seemed to have the best reviews. Whats the difference between the regular compact bulbs and the mini ones? Thanks again!
What are the most energy efficient basking and uvb lights? I once knew a guy with a reptile shop who said his electric bill was only $80 a month... which is less then my monthly bill without any reptiles at all! I'm looking for lights that will last a while, not burn out after a months use...
