I am also in NE Ohio — Lyndhurst. I take my chams to Dr. Pappas at West Geauga Veterinary Hospital. Google is saying it’s about a 30 minute drive, though I thought it may have been more than that since it’s about 30 minutes for me from Lyndhurst. But maybe not!

Weekend Funny... What is the worst Cham gift you have gotten?

Not a gift, but my uncle was here and he wanted to see my cham. I brought him to Duncan and he said “Put him on my shirt so he’ll turn red to match!” I didn’t take him out and explained the reason chams change color to him but I don’t think he believed me. Awkward.

    Duncan the Docile

Duncan has been with me for a week now. Things seem to be going well. He’s very comfortable in his cage and has no interest in coming out, which I am fine with. We are doing better with hand feeding. He was much quicker to come over and grab the work I was offering him. Also, I’ve adjusted his...

I’ve got SUCCESS! I just spent about twenty minutes sitting with Duncan and finally took out a super worm for him (I don’t have wax worms yet). It took some time but I held my arm up there until finally, finally, he took the worm. We did this twice! We still have a long way to go before he...

    New Cage!

I kept a ficus plant and hibiscus in my cham’s Enclosure. She loved to eat those hibiscus flowers! With my new guy I’m going with ficus and pothos.

    Lizzie is digging...

Sounds about right! My girl would dig all day long until her little tunnel was just right and she found her spot. Digging them out was always a tough task lol.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful and thorough answers @Beman! I will work in remedying everything today. I’ll get the gutload updated and the heat and humidity down right away. The basking branch is about three inches from the UVB bulb and it is a T5 full spectrum bulb. I do have...

I rushed my first cham to the vet so many times thinking she was dying when she was just fine. I totally totally get it! I was a wreck. Thankfully the folks here were so helpful which is why I came back for guidance on the new guy :)

Haha! The drinking thing always, always worries me. I did the same thing with my first Cham. Turned out she was just a shy drinker and she never had any hydration issues lol. Oddly enough, I’m much calmer about this guy drinking but still managed to overdo it

    Duncan the Docile

Good to know! I worry so much about the humidity I probably am overdoing it with the misting. I’ll change that setting right now!
