    My new jackson chameleon's poop

He is really small, are there any horn worms that will work for a 3" chameleon? He really loves house flies (as a treat), he has been eating mostly super worms and crickets, he seems to leave the dubias alone, even the really small ones. He likes food that moves around a lot. Thanks for...

    My new jackson chameleon's poop

Pics of cage Pretty sure it is an 18x18x36. Just added the dripper back literally five minutes ago. That has not been in the equation. Have a 60 watt ceramic (basking spot) and a 15 watt 18" Reptisun 5.0 on top . Again, was misting heavily until all leaves of the ficus were...

    My new jackson chameleon's poop

My basking area is set at 82 degrees F. The bottom of the tank sits at about 70 degrees. Night temps drop about 10 degrees. I mist for about a minute until everything is totally drenched. I will try adding the dripper back to the setup here. But I am thinking I want to avoid having it drip...

    My new jackson chameleon's poop

Hello all, Just saw my chameleon leave a fresh poop. I am seeing some orange and some white. I thought I had read that orange is a bad thing in the poop 101 area, but since I also see some white,I wanted to get a second opinion. Here are some pics. At the moment, I have just been thoroughly...

Chameleon won't open one of his eyes. Looks possibly swollen?

Update Update, I switched the bulb, offered a rainstorm, and he is opening both eyes again! Thanks so much junglefries. I really think the bulb was the big issue.

Thanks for your response. I will swap out the bulb and see if that helps.

Chameleon won't open one of his eyes. Looks possibly swollen?

I will give that a shot, thank you. Can I drop while he is sitting on a branch? Or do I have to turn him sideways so that the drops sink in?

Chameleon won't open one of his eyes. Looks possibly swollen?

Pictures of eye Here are some pictures of the problem I am concerned about. See how one eye is a little bit swollen / irritated and the other is open and alert and looking at the camera.

My Jackson's won't cup feed with crickets, but will do so with mealworms!

I know they do not enjoy being handled, but if you want to give it sunlight it has to be moved from one cage to another somehow, right? Also, if you are going to clean the cage, you have to move the chameleon out of the way. I have heard once or twice a week, it doesn't hurt to handle for 5...

My Jackson's won't cup feed with crickets, but will do so with mealworms!

After looking at some other people's photos I think he must only be 3 months old or so. And he is even camo in his sleep, if you look at the pictures on the first page where he is sleeping.

My Jackson's won't cup feed with crickets, but will do so with mealworms!

He must be very young I think he's probably 4-6 months old. When do they stop showing camo?

My Jackson's won't cup feed with crickets, but will do so with mealworms!

Thanks for getting back to me with his approximated age! I had no idea really. He didn't really go for the dubias today. Hopefully he will learn to like them because I have a breeders pack on the way! Yikes!

My Jackson's won't cup feed with crickets, but will do so with mealworms!

Wow! That is amazing! He is quite large! Looks like a very healthy boy! Must be a different locality, mine has more of the camo patterns.

My Jackson's won't cup feed with crickets, but will do so with mealworms!

JaxyGirl: I have not tried that yet, he seems to be a little skittish, he is wild-caught, so not used to being around humans so much, but I think he's warming up to me. He doesn't try to hide from me when I open the cage anymore. I will try taking him out to get a little sun on Sunday...

My Jackson's won't cup feed with crickets, but will do so with mealworms!

How long did he live? Any guesses as to age of my new little guy? His horns are real small so I was thinking just a few months old.

My Jackson's won't cup feed with crickets, but will do so with mealworms!

D3 With what frequency would you recommend using d3? Once a month? He hasn't been taken outside since I got him. Wanted to give him time to adjust to his new home before stressing him out by picking him up. Only picked up once to take the picture of his tail and show the people I...

My Jackson's won't cup feed with crickets, but will do so with mealworms!

Reptileguy: He still uses it to wrap around branches and all, he uses the end of his tail as well. I have been observing his movements. It is not dead at the end. If he wasn't using it still I would take him to a vet. I will grab a calcium w/d3. The calcium spray is just calcium. And I will...
