How do you guys keep your branches / bamboo sticks up? I tried tacks in them but my cham simply weighs too much and they cannot support him and the bamboo stick. I'm not sure what to do and it's a struggle since i have the 24x24x48 reptibreeze cage.
I am using the same reptisun UVB the long horizontal bulb. However I upped my heat bulb from 75W to 100W to make sure there was enough temperature gradient throughout the enclosure. I'll try and add a picture of his new cage in a moment.
I recently moved my approx. 6-7 month veiled into his new cage. I went from the Medium reptibreeze to the XL which is 16x16x30 in to 24x24x48in. At first he loved it, showed his bright colors and was crawling all over the place. At first I thought he just couldn't find his food, but now he...
Anyone else's chameleons love climbing the blinds? Mine will leave his free range tree, that I keep near the window, to climb onto the blinds and he just roams around them. The only problem is now he's at the top and won't come down!
My chameleon only gets really bright at night. Throughout the day he isn't very dark he just doesn't look like he has much of color I see at night. His poop and urates are fine. He eats well, and is very active. I am hoping this is normal. Ill try to provide a picture as soon as I can. The...
Thanks for the responses hoping to hear back from some other people but I bought my reptibreeze from a local pet store so that could be part of the reason. I'll look into both of those, I appreciate the response.
I'm looking to purchase a bigger cage since i've had my chameleon for two months and think he is due soon and I want to be ready. I wasn't too fond of my reptibreeze that I have now and am looking to buy a 24x24x48 cage. I'm not happy with the reptibreeze because the screws it came with didn't...
I'm not an expert by any means at all so maybe someone could verify this but I heard that room temperature water comes out too cold out of the mister and that you should warm your water up so your cham is freezing. Not sure if it's a huge deal but I definitely use warm water when misting my cham...
Thank you for your advice! I'll move him as soon as I can. It's weird because he likes climbing on the blinds near the window but i'll definitely move him ASAP. As for gut loading I try to use more but i've been swamped lately and have only been able to get collared greens and carrot slices.

Thank you, I currently feed him a few wax worms as well. I'm going to start getting horned and super worms when I can. The only super worms I can find are way too big for him to eat at the moment. I also give him collared greens which surprisingly he enjoys a lot.
Hi, I'm just wondering where I could get some cheap food for my chameleon. Currently i'm buying small crickets from the local pet store but my chameleon is an eating machine and i'm paying way too much for them right now. For about 36 crickets it usually runs me about $5. Those usually last him...
First thing is you need to separate them. Second, give them more leaves, even if they are fake, to hide and climb around. The more leaves they have the more secure they will feel especially at night. Also as someone else mentioned they are arboreal animals and are more comfortable higher up so...
They are giving you a bad rep because you kinda earned it initially. However, I paid $125 including shipping for my juvenile male veiled from Flchams it may be cheaper as texas is a lot closer to florida than I am. My chameleon came in healthy and no problems.
