So, I ordered a couple more nozzles from HerpMist on January 12 and they never showed up. I've tried calling the number but no one ever answers or returns my calls. Has anyone else ordered from them lately?
Also known as an "Umbrella Plant." I use these in my cage because they have lots of stems to use to climb between and (like its name) the water from my misting pools up in where the leaves join together at the stem. My cham loves drinking the pooled water.
Both Reptimom and Telkins08 Rudis' just had babies. They're not old enough to sell yet though. If you're interested in a baby Rudis, I'd look them up in about three months. I've dealt with Reptimom before and she is great to work with. She truly cares about the health of her animals. Just...
I put them in plastic bag, sprinkler some supplement in (type depends on day in dusting schedule), and then shake 'em up. It's just like getting the butter in microwave popcorn bags to disperse! :D
Rudis bear live young. It's not uncommon to not even know when they are gravid (until she swells up looking like she swallowed a golf ball or something!).
:o(
Last night, before I went to bed, I did what I always do... hand feed the babies and mist everyone. I found Carmen San Diego on her side, dead. I'm so upset. She was doing wonderful and just didn't make it. I never expected her to die. I expected Carmen Chameleon to die because of his...
Hehe, my name is Ken and my dad's name is Ken and my mom's brother name is Ken...... Wife makes fun of us all the time. And just to clarify, the chams names are: Carmen Chameleon, Carmen Sandiego, and Cameron.
I couldn't get the adult out this morning. She went straight down inside the umbrella plant in her cage so I decided to leave her be. Here's a picture of her from yesterday on my shoulder. That might help put her size in perspective for you.
The picture of the two babies is the best I...
No, the one sleeping on my finger is only three months old right now. I'm wondering if the one in the first two pictures is gravid. She's full grown, about 6-7 inches including tail. The males get a lil bigger but in general Rudis don't get very big.
So, I know I've been quite delinquent and ReptiMom is probably about ready to chew me out but here are some pics finally of the Rudis' I obtained last week. It was a nice day outside here in Michigan so I took my 1 year old, Cameron, outside to bask for the first time. She really seemed to...
I named one of mine Karma after the 1984 Culture Club song "Karma Chameleon". Then I also have Carmen Sandiego after the old video game. I thought it was fitting as Carmen Sandiego was always hiding somewhere in the game and you had to search her out. My third is named Cameron. That was my...
I made a little shelf in one of the upper corners to put the crickets on in hopes they would travel down towards the plants. I'm finding now that they just go straight for the sides and climb up towards the lamps. I think I'm going to try just throwing them in on the floor so they have to...
Not to be pushing one store over another but I just bought some plants for my enclosure yesterday at Lowe's and they are having a 75% off sale on their tropical plants. I got some palms and umbrella plants for $2.50 each!
I just made a similar setup. My chams arrive tomorrow for it. How does feeding work for you with the elevation of the leaves? I assume your little guy prefers to hang out up high while the crickets low?
