Specs
1. 24x24x48 Screen Cage from lllreptile.com
2. 18'' 5.0 UV Bulb
3. Live Ficus Plant
4. 100 Watt Bulb (Avg Temp 80 - 85)
5. Herp Mist Misting System

Misting Schedule

7:30 - 2 min
11:30 - 2 min
4:30 - 2 min
7:30 - 2 min

I think I may extend my misting out to 3 minutes and watch the water build up this time.

I have fake vines that are 6 feet long each ( 4 of them used in the cage) I got these from Meijers for 5.00 each.

The Ficus Plany has big rocks and then smaller glass pebbles to fill the gaps between rocks. I've only seen him down on the rocks once before. He prefers to stay up in the vines. I will remove some vines once the Ficus plant gets bigger.

looked great! :)
If you can, you might want to get rid of the plastic plants and use pothos for the same desired effects.
just wondering, why your ficus looked slumped?
it should stand straight.

The Ficus plant was shipped to me from lllreptile and looked like this when I got it. Is there a way to fix it? Should I try adding some supports in? I may just run out to lowes and purchase a new one since it was only 10.00.

Your ficus may need a day or two out in the sun or indirect sunlight to perk up again. A good soak will also do wonders. As a rule when I get new plants I will repot and let stand for a couple of days to make sure they are starting to do well again. :D

At 2 min you may need to observe you chams closely to make sure that they are getting enough to drink because they may not be stimulated long enough. Observe and adjust as needed.

Otherwise it looks great...GReat job

Nice setup... if you add a beer fridge , I'll move in myself...LOL

just cut a hole in the bottom and put a zipper down there for a little hand hole to reach in the ice chest :p

I just bought a tent and it had a little hole that i thought was like a doggy door or something and i was like thats cool and when i looked at the package it said it was a convenience hole to get into your ice chest easier :D

Speaking of holes ... the enclosure looks great but I didn't see a way for excess water to get out. Would it not build up with that much misting time? Just wanted to make sure that you weren't forgetting anything.

And now we'll be expecting pics of your chameleon!! I didn't see one in any of the pics so far! :)

Dyesub Dave. :D

Nice work I would suggest a second nozzle but that's just my opinion.

The cage does have two nozzles :)

As for drainage I orginally was misting for 1 min and the water build up was very minimal. I just changed the times up to 3 min for each misting and I get a little bit of build up but nothing bad. I'll be working on some type of drainage this week.

How small are the pebbles you use between the rocks? My daughters cham ate a small rock out of the plant and it killed it. If you use organic soil, it would be better to have your cham get some dirt rather than a pebble that could harm him. Other than that a great looking set up! Jann

I just made a similar setup. My chams arrive tomorrow for it. How does feeding work for you with the elevation of the leaves? I assume your little guy prefers to hang out up high while the crickets low?
