Hey! I saw this thread and I know its old but I'm having the same thing, My cham will eat 4-5 1/2inch (4week) old crickets a day along with a few phoenix worms and a couple silkworms, I was doing the everyother day feeding but then I noticed whenever I fed him he would eat all his food right...

Okay gotcha! so then do you only feed bsfl as your staple as apposed to a cricket or roach staple with worms on the side? Also, you said don't keep them in the fridge, why is that? lots of people say to keep them in the fridge so they remain "dormant" what does that mean?

Ugh i feel your pain!!!! also do you feed just the black soldier fly larvae? Im im Alberta, do you think the larvae would keep for shipping and stuff?

Awesome thank you!! and where do I order these??? do you clean their bin very often? and this may be a super dumb question (lol) but how do you pick them up to feed to your cham? you use a cup or a tube like a cricket keeper? and where would you recommend I order them from?

Okay gotcha, yea mine may eat 10 crickets in a day but then he might also eat 4, he was eating 10 right when he was about 1 year old, and now he seems content on 5-6, and a few wax worms a week as treats.

THANKS A MILLION This all seemed like a great idea...until i discovered roaches are illegal in Canada UGHHHH NO FUN!!! thanks anyways :) any other ideas for staple foods a veiled chameleon could be on other than crickets?

Hey guys, so Im thinking of switching my male veiled cham over to dubias roaches. Question...where do i buy them? Anyone in canada have a place they order from? I know not all places are clean and some have parasites in their roaches. Lemme know! Or even people outside of canada where do you order??

I know they are recommended but like i said, I will stick to this one for now as he is pretty little and seeing as a pro had recommended not going too much bigger i wont be going much larger than this, perhaps a taller one with more vines once he is a bit bigger. Thanks for the input though :)

Thanks :) yea he is doing great! Turns out he was just cleaning his eyes and getting ready to shed thats what all the rubbing was about lol! Yea i was thinking of maybe moving him to a bigger tank but he isnt thay big, only 20 grams i weighed him last week before he ate.

Hey, I apologize. My basking temp is 32°C under his infared heat lamp, I placed my thermometer under my uvb lamp so I just read the temo under there. I measured the temp in his basking spot, So thats all in check :) And i will go get a vitamin supplement today and a d3 :) I know these mesh cages...
