Hello,
I have a 2 year old Male Sambava Panther Chameleon I purchased from Kamerflage Kreations.
I have had him since he was 4 months old. He has been kept in a 4x3x4 screen enclosure with live plants, t5 bulbs, heat lamp and an automated misting system.
Hes had a varied diet of dubia...
I think Ambilobes are really stunning. But they are the most commonly kept locale of panther.
I have a Sambava myself, I enjoy having what most other people dont!
If the chameleon is swaying when it walks that is normal, that is meant to imitate moving tree leaves in the wild. They are ambush predators that don't move around a whole bunch.
I highly suggest you check out this Panther Chameleon care sheet (...
I tried to order it from Tiki tiki reptiles and never got anything in the mail. Nor was I ever contacted from the seller.
I had to call PayPal and now I am waiting for my refund
If I had to choose one or the other, id go with the crested gecko.
You can handle them, and they don't require an expensive misting system in their set up.
Dart frogs are beautiful and fun to take care of, in an ideal situation you would be able to get them both.
That's just my opinion...
The "bumping" of this thread has lead me to do a little research on this.
I found this interesting forum thread with responses from Mr. Repashy himself,

I've got the Acadia Earth Pro-A that i dusted with when I first got my cham and will continue to do so once every 2 weeks or so.
I'm going to look into whether or not I can dust with it more often.
I use Repashy Calcium Plus (which doesn't have D3) as a daily calcium supplement.

You can place the shelves where you like, and use what ever materials for shelves you'd like as well.

Really cut back on the handling. 3-4 times a day and you just got him, that is way too much.
I just got a panther a few days ago and I haven't handled him once, I don't plan to until after the first 1-2 weeks so he can settle in. Even after I still wont handle him very often.
When you do...
I have it set up so that I just have plant pots on the bottom of the cage.
They have no where to hide because I hot glued screen to all of the pot holes and cracks, etc. They also can't climb up the plastic.
I made my own enclosure. I screwed the door closed in the front.
They all either just...
I've had my guy for 4 days. I made the mistake of getting my first batch of crickets from petco. So I'm going to have to get couple fecal tests done in the next 2-3 months.
I primarily have been feeding him free roaming insects and he loves it.
I recently put in a feeder cup on the wall of his...
