Just your run of the mill ball python.
I've had her since 2007.
She has a story I guess...
My senior year of highschool I had to move out and ended up getting an apartment with a friend I worked with. They ended up moving out before rent was due suddenly.
I didn't want to clean out his room...
Hope you feel better!
I know acupuncture sounds like a crock but I was born with deformed hips that have cause a lot of problems from my knees to my midback.
Acupuncture and doing easy stretch yoga are about the only things that help me now.
Not saying it will definitely help, but it might!
The...
While people are on this is it normal for it to take a little bit longer for the armpit and leg region to fully shed?
Also I've seen this tropical shed spray with some vitamins or oils in it. Is that a good investment? And would it be good for this person's shed problems?
Awesome thanks. Yeah your setup is gorgeous. I found my bag of reptisoil in my closet and threw some more down over the bigger stringy coconut bark pieces. Thank you honestly.
Definitely not a debate! Just wanted to know your feelings on it.
Like I said I was defensive and I'm sorry but I...
On top of it someone dmed me and really made me feel shitty about buying my Chameleon because he was sick. So my defense mode was up. I definitely understand their points, don't reward bad pet stores for bad husbandry... But a lot of good came for him and his brothers and sisters.
A) it allowed...
Yeah I was a bit snippy. Sorry. There was another post where someone got really short with me when I was new. And then when I asked about the pupa someone was like "I've had superworms for mooonths and never saw a pupa or beetle." And I felt kind of stupid when it vanished. Like "ah man."
Well I...
That bag of Reptibark came with my new python enclosure. I don't even use it for her. Scratches up her belly scales and leaves it red. I thought chameleons needed open air flow? But yeah the orchid potting mix had some bark mixed in it. There's also fine coconut substrate on the top to help...
Oops think I somehow responded in the wrong place.
Uhm thanks for the "advice"
I have live plants at the bottom and it helps with my humidity.
It's orchid soil so it's not big bark pieces.
Phillip also doesn't eat shit from the bottom of the cage so I don't have a lot to worry about.
Thanks for...
Yeah. I have a discoid that's huge somewhere in the soil under the bark. I see it when I'm changing plants out or "cleaning" out the cage. I see it sometimes. I have a tree trunk in there with a really nice branch hanging off but it's kind of hollowish and they get away from time to time...
I remember posting a question about if Chameleon can eat the beetles that superworms turn into.
I recall a few people saying they have never had superworms pupate.
Well! The original pupa i saw got cannibalized. This is probably why a lot of you haven't seen any turn. Well my Chameleon enclosure...
Thank you. I've been taking small segments of film a few times a week. Hopefully we'll have him back to normal and I can put together a MDB informational video for people that are new to chameleon husbandry, like I was!
I had no clue.
So I don't know how many people have been following Phillip on his road to recovery.
In case you haven't I made a bad purchase and got a sick chameleon with MDB and internal parasites.
He's been given his medicine regularly. His appetite is back, although now he's super picky.
He still has a...
Get to a vet.
Get superworms. Not meal worms. Gutload them with baby bird food and other gutload things you can find on the diet page but it looks like it's getting mdb. Even with gutloaded and dusting mine still needs liquid and it didn't look this bad.
He looks pretty lazy because it was right before bedtime. He's been up off the branches more. We have two.times a day he goes to a monitored outside perch for sun. Calcium liquid. Panacur or whatever. He was on an antibiotic because he fell during early stages of his rehab and face planted...
