Brilliant that's great thanks!
I put one in his tub this morning along with a bunch of locusts, I didn't realise that one of the small locusts were dead and caught the snail eating it?
Do they eat bugs that are dead? Is this OK for Pickle to eat the snail now that the snail has eaten a dead...
He was about 3 weeks old there and had no hassle with him at all, hes always loved being handled even when he was that young and always had a very big appetite!
I gave him a day or two to settle in when I first got him but since then I pretty much handled him a small amount of time, every day...
Hey guys!
Been a while since I've been in here. Pickle is doing soo great! He's huge now!
He has just had his first snail!
I am new to snails and want to know the best way to store them and what people are gutloading them with please
Many Thanks in advance
Also a good thing to note, I usually see my Cham do this when he's reaching to get some free ranged food. So either way, hes stretching to get something or somewhere
With regards to your comment on handling, this is a statement said to new owners to warn them off handling just incase the Chameleon is acutually getting stressed. This is actually a case by case judgement.
If the Chameleon is fine with being handled and is showing no signs of stress, daily...
I think shes a bit young for a vet trip bless her, at that age you want to avoid stress as much as possible. Shes a bit dark, probably due to not feeling secure and safe enough, defintatley get some more cover in there for her by adding more plants, preferably live plants like pothos or...
Luckily she has a dedicated owner to nurse her back to health! With the treatment advised to you, I'm sure, over time she will be just fine. Good luck to you and your cham
My Cham recognises me as his chef, he is very comfortable with me and handling but gets very weary with people he hasnt seen before, he knows where I put his food tub in the enclosure and will wait by the branch anxh it is usually placed whw he wants food, so I would say they have fairly good memory
Im sure the vet will understand haha, maybe try bringing a treat for Paul to try had feed before handling, he may not take it but just knowing the hand has held a treat for him should make him feel a little less threatened

Took pickle out his cage and decided to take him out of his room. Sat down with him in a different room of my flat. To my surprise, he wasn't too fussed... Still a happy boy!
