Well I found this response a little rude if I’m being honest.
Thanks for the advice but I don’t appreciate how you’re speaking to me. I understand you have more experience but there’s no need to talk down. I’m a first time chameleon owner and have been going by the best advice I’ve been able to...
I don’t want to “bite the bullet” if the humidity levels are important 😅. But if it isn’t that big of a deal to have the humidity so low during the day then I won’t worry so much. I’m just trying to see which should be the higher priority.
Hey guys! I have another post about how I’ve been struggling with humidity so I added more shower curtain to a little less than half of the front door of the enclosure as well as both sides.
To avoid stagnant air I put a fan next to it to and it miraculously helped with the humidity retention...
My chameleon doesn’t enjoy the mister during the day and the chameleon academy recommends trying to not listen during the day at all. I have a densely foliated enclosure as you can see above but it only helps me so much :( I mist many times throughout the night as well.
I may have found a solution! I have a fan blowing inside because I was worried about the circulation and it seemed to actually help the humidity stay where it’s at?
Also I have my mistking go off for 6 minutes in the morning, 7 minutes at night, and 2 minutes at 1:30 am and also at 5:00am. I know this is a lot of water but I’m not sure what else to do!
Hey guys! I had no problem with my humidity staying between 50%-60% until it started getting cold and the heat is drying out my entire apartment. I got a fogger and it’s on almost all day and night, I added some shower curtain plastic to the front door and the bottom of the screen in the outside...
Thank you! They are holding up alright. My one at the top is exploding because it’s right under my Arcadia LEF bar but the leaves on the vines towards the bottom aren’t doing as hot lol. Probably too much water.
They are! The Kammerfledge fam assured me they were fine and it was recommended on the chameleon academy modules! I have three or four in there now lol. They are challenging to maintain to get the right amount of light and water, but if you want to invest on the challenge I think it’s worth it.
Hey guys. My new chameleon is about six months old and I’ve had him a little over a week. He seems to really enjoy his pathos at the top but I noticed he’s been laying down on it? I added some pictures! (His eyes aren’t closed in the last one it’s just distorted from the angle).
he has a...
I have a jungle dawn Arcadia LED bar and two additional smaller LED lights at the top as well! All of the plants definitely need lots of light; I’m on my second hibiscus 😅
I have my light positioned diagonally across the top of the enclosure. In the far right top corner there is a basking branch and beneath there are branches behind the plants. He has been spending a lot of time towards the front of the enclosure on the plant vines. Not sure if the branches are...
Thanks! And yes those are the creeping Jenny’s! I love them because they’re super cheap but they really look good AND he has been climbing them too! So they are pretty and functional. Great coverage, too!
