So I’ve got an 8 month old male ambilobe panther chameleon from FransChams, and I was just wondering if I’m feeding him the right amount. I feed about 15-20 small bugs a day (I have medium BSFL which still aren’t very big, and I have baby dubia that are about the same size. I also will feed...
You’ll also want to add in a multivitamin because without this he won’t be getting ample amounts of vitamin A, which could be a reason for his eye problems. So the plain calcium is fine just not the calcium +D3
Ok so first off he doesn’t need the calcium with d3 every two weeks that is too much, and d3 can be toxic if overdosed. You need it only twice a month and then the calcium without d3 every day. Your UVB is also incorrect. Those coil bulbs are bad for their UVB in general, @Beman can explain that...
so for supplements it is recommended that you use calcium without D3 every day and then something like the 1st and 15th of every month you use a multivitamin such as Reptivite or Repashy calcium plus LoD
Here is that husbandry review form
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you...
So right off the bat, chameleons do not nap like humans, and it is not a good sign. If you want to, a husbandry review might help us narrow down the problem if there is one with the husbandry.
Here is the husbandry form if you want to fill it out

Mine does the same thing and will get in his sleeping spot about half hour to an hour, but I would agree with @elizaann2 and only be concerned if it was earlier in the day.
She definitely needs a bigger cage ASAP. I think I seen one but just in case also make sure there is a lay bin in there for her to lay eggs if she is gravid. That’s what I was thinking for now but I’m sure @Beman had a lot better advice as well!
Filling this out will really help other keepers narrow down any problems
