Sleeping early

Hi all,

My Chameleon is about 4 months old; he is eating, drinking, etc., but today I came home from work to see my chameleon had his eyes closed, nuzzled into fake leaves with his tail curled, sleeping at 7:10 pm, lights out at 8 pm and lights on at 8 am is this ok?

I am going to adjust the time everything comes on and off, as it may be too late for him.

Just wanna get the opinion of more senior chameleon owners.

Yep . Some chameleons tuck themselves in up to an hour an a half before lights turn off. If you see eyes closed earlier than that then I would worry.

Mine does the same thing and will get in his sleeping spot about half hour to an hour, but I would agree with @elizaann2 and only be concerned if it was earlier in the day.

That’s good because I just caught mine doing the same thing it’s never early in the day though.

Probably tucking themselves in at night. My boy goes to his sleeping spot around 5 pm but his eyes are open and he is alert. Then around 7 pm he will be asleep. Lights are out at 8

As soon as the heat lamp goes off my boys start heading to their sleeping spots. The uvb is off at 8pm. They are usually asleep but easily awaken. After 8pm. It's nite- nite.....
