Thank you for the input! I ran a fecal last week so I will wait a week or two and run another to be safe. They seem to be doing well but I will continue to monitor them for the time being.
I appreciate all of the input. I'm still trying to get a firm grasp on what is normal and abnormal. So...
I am still relatively new to chameleons so I appreciate the advice. I have 2 juvenile panther chameleons 8 month male and a 5 month female. They have been doing well overall. Both are good eaters. They are both active and they are both growing well. Their bowel movements differ significantly, so...
Does anyone happen to know of anyone who is breeding Trioceros quadricornis in the States? They seem to be hard to come by but I know there are a few secret keepers out there somewhere. Let me know if you have any leads. Thank you.
MissSkittles, That is actually what I thought but also my first time with hatchlings so I'm totally open to whatever they become. They are so perfect either way!
Thanks guys. I will run to the store today and get some different fruits. I guess I didn't think fruit flies would be so picky. We are a week in and both hatchlings seem to be doing well. I haven't actually seen them eat but I assume they are. They are definitely aware the bugs are there.
Sorry that I haven't replied yet, we are a few days in and little one seems to have rebounded. It moves around it's cage. I've never caught either one eating so im not sure if they are ingesting the fruit flies or they are escaping.
I did purchase them both as eggs. I understand mortality...
Good Evening,
I had 2 panther chameleon eggs that both hatched over the last 24 hours. One, hatched yesterday was slower to wake up out of the egg but has been doing well ever since. The second hatchling came out today. Was quick to move around and at first acted as expected. I just went to...
Thank you! That is what I had thought and why I did not put it in the system. I appreciate the input. I will leave it out for now. I do use the RO Water for my mist king and fogger as well as the in room humidifier.
I have been using a new RO Water system for the last month. The system I purchased came with a remineralization cartridge but I never installed it. Recently I saw some information indicating that RO Water is not appropriate for chameleons without remineralization. Should I install the...
I understand and appreciate all of your help. My husband wants to cut into the shell. I feel like this is a bad idea but I may be wrong. Is opening the shell at this point going to change anything or just risk the small chance that it survived?
For the record, I did put the lid back on and put it back in the closet although I know that it may be too late to be of any good. I'm going to give it a little more time and hope for the best. If anyone thinks that there is something better to be done, please let me know.
It was being incubated in a dark cabinet but when it started to sweat we moved it out onto the counter and removed the lid. A lot more light as well. Should we put them back in the cabinet with the lid back on?
Thank you for any advice that you have. We have tried to do our research and be as set up as possible but the waiting is hard. I tried to answer everything in as much detail as possible.

Soon to be first time chameleon owner looking for some advice on egg hatching.
I purchased a chameleon egg from an online breeder a few months back with an estimated hatch date of October 17th. I know that hatch date is very variable so I didn't get my hopes up. On Thursday (11/7) my egg began...
