I actually just watched the video again..lol. I cut the bottom out of mine and added a screen to the bottom. So when I add the crickets the extra dust will fall through the bottom as well as the water from misting.
Morpheon, my Sambava looked really similar but some times he was black. Not to get of subject, but I really like your vine set up the climbing accessories cords. Do you climb?
Clifford I don't know why they take so long. He has always had very nice greens, turquoises and at night yellows. I never could get him to fire up, Im guessing a female would do it.
I was told that sambavas take some time to get their vibrant colors. I guess that being patient is going to pay off. After 15 month he is starting to get his colors. Check him out.
My chameleon also came from screameleons. He is a sambava (which take longer to get there colors) and at 14 months is starting to get his vibrant colors. Hang in there it will take some time.
Here is my Sambava, at 12 months. I have only seen a little red under her chin and her spikes get orange. I also tried all the flaming up techniques. A late bloomer? I hope so, but still think he is awesome.
Do sambava, ambilobe and ambanja have different patterns? I know they have diffents colors and intensity, but was wonder if you can tell by the vertical lines? My chameleon is almost 12 months and was told it was a sambava, but he is not getting any bright colors....what do you guy and gals think????
I purchased a pod of 50 small from coastel silkworms and was thinking about getting the kit they sell to make them last longer. The pod was easy but was wondering if I buy them in bigger bulk it would be cheaper. How many silkworms a day and which variety of silkworms? My chameleon is about...
Do you think silkworm pods are cheaper than getting a silkworm kits? I am also thinking about making silkworms his staple diet with and mix in other insects. Any input??
